Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Dunn and Jones in the middle. I just text Kean and he confirmed this* *this is a load of ######.
SergioPeter89 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I guess that Dunn will move out on the left. Robbo Salgado - Samba - Givet - Olsson Hoilett - Jones - Gamst - Dunn Kalinic - Santa
Sverre Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Why can't gamst and dunn switch position, if Dunn really is to play on the left. or is Olsson set to provide the more offensive run, from his back position?
SergioPeter89 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Because Gamst was crap for three seasons on the wing.
modes98 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Because Gamst was crap for three seasons on the wing. Ah but this is MGP mark 3 or maybe 4. He is a much better player
Amo Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Dunn or Pedersen doesn't inspire me with much hope if we're going to play on the break. Hopefully, Olsson will be able to overlap. Good to see Jones starting, and an early chance to see if Kalinic & Cruz live up to the hype!
Hekla Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Exciting team, plenty of quality which is nice to see. The bench also looks strong again with Steven N'Zonzi returning. I prefer to see Olsson at LM but I know this can't be helped with Nelsen's injury. I'm looking forward to seeing Jermaine Jones and to also see Santa Cruz perform well.
steo Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 I think it's a good team selection, hoping kalinic and Roque can form a good partnership.going for 2-0 win, olsson's pace can cover odemwingie.
Iceman Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Put Dunn at left back, and move Olsson to left wing
Andy Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Really excited to see how the new line-up fares. I think RSC and Kalinic is, potentially, a proper strikeforce. Interested to see how Jones does and it's great to see the young lads David Hoilett and Martin Olsson keep their places. A win and we're 7th...
LeChuck Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Surely it's Pedersen on the left and Dunn in the middle. I'll be extremely surprised if it's not. I'd be worried about Pedersen out there if Givet was left back, but I actually think it's a good balance with Olsson.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Is it just my tv or is there a delay on Sky Sports with the pictures and the audio?
LeChuck Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 3-5-2 maybe?? Although I'd doubt it You surely need three centre backs to play that.... This is definitely a 4-4-2.
Bobby G Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Kean said bid for Larsson was accepted but Brum backtracked then.
Balwer Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Interesting on the subs, no fullbacks and only Hanley as a defender. Suppose there's nobody else there with Jones/Nelsen/Emerton out. Good luck to Jones on debut, wonder in N'Zonzi will get a run out today.
John Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Ian Holloway saying what Sam wanted to say you felt there...
Balwer Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Ian Holloway saying what Sam wanted to say you felt there... I don't think Ian Holloway of all people would ever say something that he didn't believe in. He's definitely his own man. Interesting comments, as always, from him.
steo Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Reckon N'Zonzi will come on for JJ at some point, can't wait for kick off,an early goal would be great, hope Niko can have the same impact he had at the Hawthornes bar getting sent off of course.
greco Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 i suspect when in possession, that olson will be going forward a lot, with our left winger moving inside, which seem reasonable to me. If albion plays with 5 across the middle, then we will be able to match them, with 5 of our own. we will probably see what resembles af 3-5-2 when we have the ball, with salgado staying at the back and jones protecting the defence. and i suspect when not in possesion, santa will be a deep lying targetman, making our formation looking like a 4-4-1-1. From that position, he will be able to distribute or hold up the ball, until others are in position. time will tell. anxious to get the game startet. lying sick in my bed, so a cup of hot chocolate and a rovers win, would br nice
Bobby G Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Formica joining Monaco according to Argentine reports.
Andy Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Is it just my tv or is there a delay on Sky Sports with the pictures and the audio? Mine's doing it as well - though when I switched from my surround sound system to the actual tv sound, it fixed the problem.
