Iceman Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 ok i know its about a year old, but ive settled for the Desire. Was this a good move, especially taking into consideration that new models are available. I haven't updated to 2.2 Froyo, but will that update make me feel better with the choice i have made?

Wilky Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 ok i know its about a year old, but ive settled for the Desire. Was this a good move, especially taking into consideration that new models are available. I haven't updated to 2.2 Froyo, but will that update make me feel better with the choice i have made? yes as with the 2.2 froyo update u get wifi hotspot whitch turns the fone into a wifi modem, u get full adobe 10.2 flash player. live wall papers... makes the fone so much better... and 2.3 gingerbread is coming very soon
Iceman Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 cheers Wilky. I had a look at the HTC Desire HD, but wasnt too keen on that big a screen size. The 3.7" screen just feels right in my hand, and also has a solid feel to it.
Wilky Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 yea i love my desire.... very good fone.. if you have the rovers player subscription it works on the desire using the browser which has flash 10.2 player

Iceman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 we don really offer unlimited data, but for the desire what amount of data will be acceptable a month? ii do light browsing, and emails, with not much downloading and youtube. on my old nokia, got around with between a 75mb to 150mb data a month
Wilky Posted April 24, 2011 Author Posted April 24, 2011 we don really offer unlimited data, but for the desire what amount of data will be acceptable a month? ii do light browsing, and emails, with not much downloading and youtube. on my old nokia, got around with between a 75mb to 150mb data a month on my HTC desire i knock out around 15gb per month but i do a bit of everything on it....
Iceman Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 ill just be doing light browsing, and emails, so not anywhere near those levels of data
cn174 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I've had a look over the past few of my bills - I use roughly 300mb/month. I read my emails pretty often, browse the internet, flickr, twitter etc.
cn174 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 are you using Android or iPhone Claire? htc desire on Android
Iceman Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 how do i access my SD card. cannot seem to find my pics or music files. it shows the space used, and memory left etc, but when go to gallery non of my files appear
Biddy Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I believe the music programs and gallery should just find them. I know gallery finds all my rotten icons from Mobile Maps which is annoying. My Music is in My Documents/My Music which is a carry over from my WinMob days. Are you sure the scard is being seen? If you go to Menu-> Settings -> SD & phone storage Do you see "Unmount SD card" and does it show the correct amount of Total and Free space under the SD Card section?
Iceman Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Its there Biddy, just not sure why no files appear. Is there a way to reformat the SD card via the phone?
Biddy Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 you can format through the phone, but you will lose all the data Android might have put on there (as it does cache a lot behind the scenes). Go to Menu->Settings->SD & phone storage tap "Unmount SD card" and wait a fair while until it does it. The "Format SD card" option should now be available. Once complete, tap the mount SD card again. Of course now it will be blank
Iceman Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 why when I click on a specific thread, does it do nothing. It loads and just returns back to where you clicked
