modes98 Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Bamba with two goals for Leicester today. Should have signed him. Why because he scored 2 goals in a championship game? Also he is a defender so you don't principally buy for goal threat! You need to scout a bit more heavily than that. Otherwise signing Bothroyd back would seem a brilliant move, when in reality he is not good enough.

Boltinho Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Why are Kean and Jensen @ Villa Park?? Just watching a game or watching players/ taking to players?? Or just prepare for 2 billion matches against Villa in the future??
Dufflite Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Kean is at the Villa v Man City game - they just zoomed in on his shiny head. I wonder if he is shopping?

Just having a laugh because someone on here wrote the same when he scored against City last week or so.
BangkokRover Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Kean is at the Villa v Man City game - they just zoomed in on his shiny head. I wonder if he is shopping? yeah they are after Teves. Its the new 11 oclocker
The Rover of Finland Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Why are Kean and Jensen @ Villa Park?? Just watching a game or watching players/ taking to players?? Or just prepare for 2 billion matches against Villa in the future?? We have Villa next weekend.
philipl Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Kean is at the Villa v Man City game - they just zoomed in on his shiny head. I wonder if he is shopping? He is obviously taking the FA Cup seriously.
Valois Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Why are Kean and Jensen @ Villa Park?? Just watching a game or watching players/ taking to players?? Or just prepare for 2 billion matches against Villa in the future?? We play Villa in the FA cup 4th round.
broadsword Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Probably what he meant by "2 billion matches"
steo Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Steve Kean and John Faxe just been spotted at Villa Park. Ahead of the FA cup clash with villa doubt theres anything else in it. Niko Kranjcar would be a brilliant signing but venky's don't seem to want to spend any cash bar loan deals. have a feeling liverpool will drop their interest in Adam coz Meireles was superb today.
thenodrog Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Spurs have a pretty strict wage structure so don't think he'd be on more than our top earners. I think the up front salary structure at Spurs is so average that they must bung sorry reimburse their players some other way.
BangkokRover Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Shame he has been a bag of @#*¿ the rest of the season.
steo Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Warnock injuried since he's not playing?? No he's just fallen out of favour, looks like he'll defo leave in this window.
Dufflite Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Warnock injuried since he's not playing?? Ciaran Clarke is having a shocker at LB - surely Warnock would be better. If hes not injured then Houlier obviously doesnt rate him. I'd have him back
Emge Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 No he's just fallen out of favour, looks like he'll defo leave in this window. Seem to remember something similar happening to him when he wanted to leave us. We had an away game and "his head wasnt in the right place", so Sam left him behind. Seems like the same happening over again for him
Stylish kid in the Riot Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Charlie Adam in the same category as Xabi Alonso ???!!! No offence Stylish but you can't be serious.. Big prediction/comment I know but thats just how much i rate him!!! Anyway, I'll stop my dreaming of Charlie Adam, lets go and get Kranjar. Would be a great signing
Mr. E Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 No he's just fallen out of favour, looks like he'll defo leave in this window. No champions league for him either then. He should join his old pal Bentley at Brum.
Steve Moss Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Aye. Apologies for the unscheduled delay in updating the digest. Wen Y Hu it always amazes me when posters like you apologize. You are immense. You go out of your way to make the transfer news understandable, to the betterment of the board, but feel the need to apologize when you fall a bit behind and inject some humor. You don't have too. You are aces in my book. yeah they are after Teves. Its the new 11 oclocker I wish. We would skyrocket up the table with Tevez as our lead striker and would sell a ton of South American shirts. He is obviously taking the FA Cup seriously. I hope so. Kean is young and is obviously a bit embarassed about how he got the job based on his "I'm not a backstabber" interviews. A top 8 finish and/or a cup semi-final would shut everyone up. It would cement his place as a up and comer and would knock Owen Coyle off his 'next big thing' perch. We play Villa in the FA cup 4th round. And I vote we are due a win. So get to it, Mr. Kean. Ciaran Clarke is having a shocker at LB - surely Warnock would be better. If hes not injured then Houlier obviously doesnt rate him. I'd have him back Warnock would be good for the Rovers and the Rovers would be good for him. He's had his time as a big time charlie, so perhaps he'd be a bit settled. And settling is what we need at LB at the moment. Anyway, I'll stop my dreaming of Charlie Adam, lets go and get Kranjar. Would be a great signing If any Venkys types are reading: Please- Forget Adam. Get Kranjcar. We'll all be a lot better off.
Mercer Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Seem to remember something similar happening to him when he wanted to leave us. We had an away game and "his head wasnt in the right place", so Sam left him behind. Seems like the same happening over again for him Wouldn't want Warnock back. Okay, he was good for us and we made good money, however, I take the stance that when players themselves want to leave because they think the grass is greener elsewhere then we shouldn't offer them a route back when it doesn't work out for them. No doubt Warnock would also want the wages he's on at Villa and not the wages he was on before at Rovers. Also, critically, his performances have gone backwards and he seems to make more and more rash judgements eg the free kick he conceded at Ewood this season which gave us a goal. Thanks but no thanks.

What about Santa Cruz then? obviously, not entirely the same situation, the deal gave us 17 million pounds. Probably one of the best pieces of business in recent time..
Mercer Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 What about Santa Cruz then? obviously, not entirely the same situation, the deal gave us 17 million pounds. Probably one of the best pieces of business in recent time.. Same principle - would not have taken him back. Have always maintained this window that we had enough strikers to get their share of goals provided we got midfield functioning (2 new players needed there) by controlling more of the game and creating more chances for whoever was playing up front.
Veevs Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Sick of hearing Holloway yap on about how much Adam is worth, If his chairman deems an offer good enough he will be sold no matter what he thinks. Now he values him over 10 million and wont entertain offers less than that, he interviews are cringeworthy at the moment. Got too remember though.. there is one important factor in holloways valuation, Adam is Blackpool atm they have pretty much built the team around him, so whats being in the premier league worth atm>? Pretty big factor in us not considering him at more than 4m imo, as for peeps ranting about we should of put in an early bid, it's not really a good idea too get into a bidding war, we will of sounded out his price/avilability but things have changed allot with the manager change at liverpool and Villa where already bidding. As for Kean and co being at Villa.. blimey guys who would we of been watching except one of our next opponents.

Sorry but all i've got to say to that principle is Colin hendry and david dunn. Oh and add henning berg
Fraserkirky Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Danny Collins was incredible tonight against City. Putting a show on for Kean no doubt
