[Archived] Transfer Window Part 5

Recommended Posts

So we know Dos Santos likes to party or is just plain trouble and we still want it, sorry but that does not make sense.

Yes I would like Kranjcar but I do worry that Spuds will make up some crazy price for him. He is though certainly a good player and as someone else has mentioned he could be friend for Niko.

Allegedly spuds have another £4m to pay after game totals kick in, apart from his attitude that Arry mentioned a few weeks ago in the press.

I know this thread drifts off topic now and then but surely that's a needless question to ask. Where have you been for the past five weeks blah blah blah? :P

Thank Goodness some sense about Dos Santos he is rubbish.

No again he is rubbish. Don't you think there is a reason he is playing the Chumpionship!

Personal opionion. Like I said, I think he has enough potential and would cost little enough that he's worth a punt. £1m rising to £1.5 would be sensible imo.

I really can't see Robinson going back to Spurs. He's said before that it was nice to move back up North. He's established number 1, confident, playing well and seems very happy. Why ruin all that?

Because the moment he plays for Tottenham he must become an England international again maybe even number 1.

Shocking how we are treated by the FA when it comes to player selection.

I'd be surprised to see anyone disloge Hart as england number 1, especially given the way most of the media fawn over him. Unless he suffers a drastic loss of form, robinson won't get in the squad ahead of him. On that basis, robinson is better off staying here. No point going to spurs just to be number 2 for england and risk losing his confidence again. He will definately be back in the england squad as soon as capello leaves, no matter who the manager is. I just hope he realises that.

Have you seen Hart lately? He's been terrible.

Totally agree. Very easily beaten at the moment. Have no doubt he will be a top keeper in a few years time but he's really not there yet. Robinson is the best English keeper at he moment by some distance in my opinion.

Problem is being a good goalkeeper is something you have naturally (good hand eye, reflexes ext ext) being a great goalkeeper relys hevily on confidence and mental toughness. Hart is by far the best keeper England has at the moment all he needs is a clean sheet or two to rebiuld his confidence.

There is nothing in the Paul Robinson and Spurs story. Sorry to disappoint the mutiny moaners brigade.

Brilliant work by unleaded on the Brazilian kid. Just glad he doesn't work for the papers...

The lad seems to be coming, the only mystery being how he gets a permit - must have a European passport.

Thanks Nicko.

Heard anything about whether Samba is going to sign his bumper contract?

I'd much rather have Robinson in goal than Hart. I can only assume you aren't counting Robinson as a keeper that 'England has', because he is a much better keeper all-round than Hart at the moment. Hart may well one day be an excellent keeper, but for now, Robinson wins hands down.
