We've missed out on players because nobody wants to play for a manager they've never heard of. Sam is well known here and abroad and could have attracted the players we have missed out on.

Rubbish

If that were true it would just show how dumb players and their agents are. Who cares who the manager is if he's getting results, the style of play would suit you, the rest of the squad seem settled and happy and the club are prepared to pay you enough.I hope your comment was tongue in cheek but suspect it wasn't.

Disagree, think we've missed out coz we have no money, wonder if we will even pay Barca 1 mil for Rochina that is apparently the only thing holding up the deal.is he needed anyway?

A feeder club suggests loans and more loans

If any of them come good they go back to Barca.

Not how I would choose to do business personally, but two sides to every coin and all that.

If they do well, that likely means we do also

Surely we also get first pick of any that are not quite good enough to go back to Barca but might be decent players for lesser clubs. Also might attract other players to the club thinking that they are working alongside quality. Don't know but it could work.

Why are you even discussing this?do you honestly think we will become one of Barca's feeding clubs,it would have a detrimental effect on youngsters already in the academy who would be replaced by these catalan youngsters.

Ah so we are going to turn down the chance to take players who struggle to get into Barca's team ahead of Messi because it might hurt a youngster of our owns chances?

At the end of the day football is about taking your chances, if you are good enough then you will make it. Players get sent out on loan and are given a chance to play well, if they don't then they are chopped. Bringing in players from the best youth system in the world and getting them in our first team is not a bad idea for the club.

Whether it would happen or not is another matter. Hopefully we sign these 2 first.

You cant hold a player back either, he wants to better himself as a player by playing for a top team. Tough on Blackpool, we have been in that position before, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it.

er - yes you can. you can deny him the transfer. It happens to players all the time.

Loyalty doesnt exist much in football these days, so you cant expect players to stay if they dont want to.

You can praise Holloway all you like, but fact is that he is disrespecting the rest of the Blackpool players. He is focussing so much on Charlie Adam, but that entire team deserves as much credit for the way they have approached games this season.

Holloway is always singing the teams praises. Have you listened to any of his interviews? Or just the bit where he's asked about charlie adam?

Adam is 1 player, he makes the team tick, but he certainly doesnt carry the team. I have watched quite a bit of Blackpool's game, and imo Adam is a drifter, who does something special, then disappears. Gamst is another one, goes and does something good, then for long periods will not do anything.

I think too much emphasis are being placed on Adam, when the entire Blackpool team should be praised by Holloway. in fact, he should have said that non of his players are for sale, and slapped big money on all of them. Its tough on teams like Blackpool, Rovers, Wolves, Wigan etc, because its bound to happen that a bigger team will poach one of your better or best player/s. Its just hard luck, thats how it goes, you move on and make do with what you have. If we could survive all these years, then im sure Blackpool can do that if they stick together if/when/should Adam leave.

Every member of the blackpool team knows that charlie adam is their best player. i'm with Gav on this. blackpool should be lauded for their stance.

It could have a good knock on effect steo. Surely our youngsters would benefit from training and playing with some of Barca's stars of the future. As long as our youth teams maintain a decent balance it's all good in my opinion.

Our brightest youngsters to come through recently are Hoilett, Olsson and Jones. One in three ain't bad.

Makes perfect sense, after all I've lost count of the amount of times Barcelona have tried to sign one of our players

RING RING, RING RING

SK: Hi Pep, it's Kean

PG: Oh hi Roy, how you doing?

SK: Not that Keane

PG: Oh sorry Robbie, look we just don't need any more strikers right now.

SK: No, it's Steve Kean, the manager of Blackburn Rovers

PG: Who?

SK: Ste...

PG: No, I got your name, who are Blackman Rivers?

SK: We're a team in England, look I was wondering if we could set up feeder system between us, you know so we can swap talent.

PG: Sounds interesting, we've produced the likes of Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas, Xavi and Iniesta, who could we use from your youth set up.

SK: Aaron Doran and Paul Gallagher

...line goes dead

Didn't know we had re-signed him. Unfortunately for Barce, Doran's has already gone to Calie Thistle on loan.
