LeChuck Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Seems approriate that they signed up for Cabbie Gobshite FM. Nicely put. They'll fit in well there, and probably have a listenership that'll appreciate their 'banter'.
Mattyblue Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 'Awight Keysey, I'm a Yoonited fan from sahf Landon... what ya reckon abaht Wazza?'
chaddyrovers Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Where is Parry and Graham show going then? maybe 10pm till 1am slot.
chris Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I have already planned my first call: “Hello Richard, I’m a new listener and wish to discuss the importance of sport in youth development, I have found my love for football has saved me from the streets and I would like to share my story of salvation with you. I’m not from England originally, I was born in West Philadelphia and also raised there. I spent most of my days playing basketball on a playground but also chilling out and relaxing. Then one day a couple of guys who were up to no good started making trouble in my living area. Unfortunately I got into a fight and my mother the big worrier that she is got scared and told me to move to my auntie and uncles in Blackburn Lancashire.” I’m hoping I get this far before being cut off.
Rovermatt Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 A future as a double act on Talksport beckons should their relationship with Sky come to an end. They could do a roadshow where they broadcast from working men's clubs throughout the nation. They could use fruit machine-style jingles for ambience.
deryck guyler's spoon Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Very appropriate and no surprise at all that thses two would end up on TalkSh**. Their views on women will be a perfect fit. They will just have to develop an obsession with Tottenham and West Ham whilst demonstrating utter contempt for Rovers, Bolton and Wigan.
TugaysMarlboro Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 It's an absolute shocking radio station in my opinion. I can't help but cringe at pretty much everything they ever say. A perfect fit then.
BPF Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 They are taking Parry's slot. What will become of him? That time slot means there replacing Porky wonder what will happen to him Sorry just saw this...
colin Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I don't really know what you're trying to prove with that video Colin? S15 & the rest of you: the answer is absolutely nothing. It was a bit of light-hearted humour. Take it easy.
Stuart Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Mike Parry has, according to the talksport boss Moz Dee, left the station of his own volition. Wanted to "move on". He has had health problems in the past but he's only 56. Along with H&J he was one of the brighter features of talksport. I can imagine him turning up in a column in a redtop in the neat future. Good luck to him.

Good luck to him. Dunno why but I thought Parry was part owner of Talkshite.
Stuart Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 From what I heard on the radio yesterday, he was part of the management team originally and moved into the broadcasting side.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Parry was the best thing on TalkSport. He was so loopy and annoying, it was actually entertaining.
gumboots Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Parry was the best thing on TalkSport. He was so loopy and annoying, it was actually entertaining. can't agree there but I am missing Hawksbee and Jacobs on my way home from work. Have done nearly a week now though without any real withdrawal symptoms except when I get a violin concerto on Classic fm, my new station of choice.
philipl Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 capn_b Cap'n B by GlennPegden RT @pokeHQ: Breaking News: Mubarak to join Talk Sport breakfast show That one had me literally laughing out loud- thank you for the re-tweet Glenn. This is a good one too- TheBig_Sam BigSam "Here, Big Sam," my neighbour shouted with a muffled giggle over the garden fence. "You fancy the Egypt job now it's available?"
Guest Walshy Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Just emailed into their show wishing them well and I said I hope you smash it
Guest linganzi Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I emailed the day after the Qpr game over 200 times asking Neil warnock about his hypocracy. They ignored it. Not keen on the truth
martmitch Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Finding their debut show a bit boring to be honest, cameo after cameo of current & previous players and managers being wheeled out to prop up the show, actually missing the mid morning bit of sillyness between the breakfast and afternoon shows which is heavily focussed on sport cant see them lasting, the minute something decent comes up on TV they'll be gone
ewoodpo Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Parry is going to present 606 with Robbie Savage. http://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.6737.12
Stuart Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Thought 606 was being cut - or is that just the website? If not, that should be worth listening to!
gumboots Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Thought 606 was being cut - or is that just the website? If not, that should be worth listening to! Just the website. It's that side of things the BBC are tightening up on generally.
thenodrog Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 Parry is going to present 606 with Robbie Savage. http://radiotoday.co.uk/news.php?extend.6737.12 Might be quite entertaining. Radio Today Mike Parry said of his new role on 5 Live: "In broadcasting terms I feel like I've just had a call from the manager of Real Madrid. "
BiggusLaddus Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I emailed the day after the Qpr game over 200 times asking Neil warnock about his hypocracy. They ignored it. Not keen on the truth I hope for the sake of your sanity that was a joke...
