I doubt it will matter too much we look toothless today really, hopefully we will look better on Wednesday with Jones back in CM.

Also, remember Bolton!

Im not trying to start an argument or anything just passing on what im seeing...

TBH professional footballers...id expect allot more.

I know and my comment wasn't a slight towards you. I agree totally with you that our midfield is all over the place.

I'm just sick of seeing him playing in central midfield when it clearly doesn't work. I want to see my team perform to the best of it's abilties and when i see him playing there more often than not it becomes a disadvantage to the team.

Its frustrating i agree you can see why Jones has been brought in but the is gaps all over the pitch were the mids need to be more mobile and move!

Hoilett getting booed because villa fans think he dived to get Baker off.

Pires coming off i think for a centre half collins.

Inconsistent performances are a worry. Its something that Sam largely could not cure, and its going to be the key element that must be sorted at the club if we are to improve.

When was the last time we went unbeaten for longer than 5-6 games (at most)?

When was the last time we won 3 or more matches in a row?

Its a huge problem.

I'd say it's also a problem with 90% of the league at the moment, anyone can beat anyone and theres not many teams on consistent runs of form.

Check the team lineout today and then re think. This is a cup game. Its not that important. This isnt a huge problem at all. If we lost to Wigan in the same fashion then you might have a point, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

That is indicative of the PL now - the gulf in squads has become a lot closer now with teams like Sunderland spending 12 million on players
