Guest Walshy Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I came accross these on the net and I think they should be installed in every single premiership ground. http://www.break.com/index/beer-filled-from-the-bottom-1973926 They can be purchased from here Awesome

Pete1981 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Maybe you should email Rovers with that idea it would certainly cut down the queues at half time
mark1875 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 what a fantastic idea! defo think we need to suggest this to club
Guest Walshy Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Ill try and find contact details to put it to the club.
mark1875 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 44 pints per minute? its a defo solution to queues and congestion caused by it
67splitscreen Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Your beer would still be flat and the queue just as long they cant add up or count out the correct amount of change.
cletus Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 They could/should invest in some of these..... selling beer & soft drinks all along the front of the stands before the game & half time. Football clubs like Rovers should maximise the limited selling time they have on matchdays. I rarely bother to go down into the mire at Half time cos it`s no pleasure queueing in that crush. I`d take a trip down to the front though to stretch my legs & get a drink in the fresh air.
slough_rover Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 They have these at cricket grounds across the country and I really did benefit from not having to queue up!
Presty On Tour Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 They also have them at the darts so you don't have to leave the table.
67splitscreen Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 They have tills now. Really!, I thought they were epos systems now a days, no wonder it takes them so long.
cruz Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I'm sure they would Cletus. Just the little matter of not being able to have alcohol in seated areas that gets in the way

I`d take a trip down to the front though to stretch my legs & get a drink in the fresh air. I mentioned these at a Fans Forum after seeing them used at the MEN but they are quite costly and present other problems such as more congestion, the concourses are quite narrow so there would be little room to stand or queye, they could potentially work in front of the Riverside IMO but then I'm not sure how the beer situation is there with it being in view of the pitch. The beers cups shown here wont take off majorly yet I imagine due to the fact the glasses probably cost a lot more than then normal ones and the price of the equiptment would be expensive. I imagine people wouldn't be too happy if these were brought in making queueing slightly shorter but the price increased.
sleepyjack Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 The glasses do cost more but in NFL stadia the increase has been offset by selling advertisements on the magnets which sit at the bottom of the glass.
bazza Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 If they had them at Ewood, then they need only open one outlet behind the Riverside for cup ties. I fancied a beer at half time v QPR and the outlet behind E04 was closed. The outlet down towards the Blackburn End was open and, yes, you've guessed it, queues. So much for BRFC's consideration for their most loyal supporters!
Guest linganzi Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 no machine is going to fix the retarded ineptitude of the bar staff wonder how it works?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Due to the alcohol restrictions pitchside, why dont they just sell alcohol in the stands and use these to sell fizzy drinks. This would reduce the amount of people in queues.

Mc Love Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 WOuldnt work for a pint of Guinness I'd imagine

As well as doing the above, they could do what the American's do at the baseball etc and provide drinks during the game. They could come over to you whenever you want a refill.

Baseball goes on for hours though, and there are lots of breaks. I'm all for the beer thing though, would make things a lot quicker. Get onto it Walshy, we are all relying on you to pitch the idea to the men that matter at Ewood. In Australia they have loads of pints already pulled before hand, which makes things quicker, obviously it goes flat and warm quicker though.
Backroom Tom Posted January 25, 2011 Backroom Posted January 25, 2011 Just another point, if you look on the companies website these machines wont be readily available till 2013
Steve Moss Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 ^ I thought the residential machines weren't available to 2013. The commercial variety are available now.
XLM Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I am an official supporter of that product for Ewood Park.
Pete1981 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Ive noticed someone has mentioned it to Onerovers on Twitter and this is their response OneRovers Blackburn Rovers @ @davidmcorrigan We have looked into the multi pourer system as in newer stadias, however the costs are currently too prohibitive. http://twitter.com/#!/OneRovers
