Denis_B Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I don't get why Monchengladbach are trying to loan out Michael Bradley when he is important in the team and they are facing a relegation battle. Maybe we are trying to hijack the deal by signing him permanently? Not a chance. Done deal loan with Villa having the option to buy in Summer.
LessThanJake Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 some small mumblings down here of Villa having a final flirt with Samba
LeChuck Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I don't get why Monchengladbach are trying to loan out Michael Bradley when he is important in the team and they are facing a relegation battle. Same reason as most clubs who sell players probably - money. Even though it's 'only' a loan, Villa will be paying a fee and taking his wages. Plus it sounds like they have an option to buy.
Denis_B Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 some small mumblings down here of Villa having a final flirt with Samba But the source is 'The Sun' so probably ballcocks!
m1st Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Nah, it's one by Bunford and Sons. Haven't Roversmumford & Sons recorded anything? Sorry; I'm at a bit of loose end this morning! Taxi for m1st!
Hughesy Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Well Kentaro are in Manchester, in a hotel – negotiating….but the question is – who with!!! It wont be Formica as that one is already in the bag when the paperwork is finalised. Think Diouf will leave today too!
nicko Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Nicko - you going to be around today for some updates ? I`m sure you will be busy today but any snippets woudl be welcomed :-) There will only be three areas to update. ROCHINA...has already signed a pre-contract...it's up to Barca to accept the fee...I imagine they will. FORMICA...all set up to be done...told passport no longer an issue as it has been sorted...so why the delay?...odd. SAMBA...deal all agreed...as said here on Friday or so...just about the timing of the announcement.

We'll still be satisfied if that's it, but why take the fun out of the day?
jim mk2 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 No marquee signing then ? And what happened to the £20m allocated to the Ronaldinho deal ? I suppose we have to trust the new owners that the current squad is capable of reaching 5th place anyway.

With your general Mood Jim and it being a Monday, I hope you don't man the samaritans helpdesk today

We'll still be satisfied if that's it, but why take the fun out of the day? If - and I stress if - those three are finalised without any snags then the window has been better than average. Better having these things set up to be finalised than some of the chaose that is about to break out elsewhere. Chelsea want FOUR signings today. Liverpool need to buy THREE players with the Torres cash. All of those potential deals would have knock-on effects at the clubs who sell their players. Spurs trying for any striker going. Mental. But entertaining. Just watch other clubs going through the madness - and hopefully have your three 'deals' pushed through in time.
True Blue & White Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Not bothered about Rochina to be honest (I mean whether he comes now or in the summer) as he's "one for the future" anyway.
StaffsRover Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Surely as an international agency Kentaro could be negotiating for a host of clubs based in and around the Manchester area! Unless someone tells me otherwise there is no exclusivity to Rovers. On deadline day I am sure Kentaro will be having meetings all over the place today!!

What was Jerome Andersson on about this being an "interesting" few hours for Rovers with the fact he's was heading up to Rovers and the news Hughesy gave about them being in a Manchester hotel as we speak?

You would have to ask him, but I would imagine that he is talking about signing Formica and Rochina plus the skipper re-signing.
Guest linganzi Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Koncesky to. Forrest. Not his biggest fan but a,bit of a bump for him

See earlier post re. Kentaro and meetings please. . . Typical transfer day sensationalism!!

Then he has a funny definition of the word "interesting". All the non-Rovers fans I've told about our signing have gone "Mauro Who?"
chris Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 But entertaining. its no royal rumble, but papers will make for a good read tomorrow
Hughesy Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 What's your source on that? (the Kentaro story). The chauffeur who drives them around, he wasn't booked for them today but got a call early hours to book his services. So unless it's Rochina (which people are saying is already pre contracted) then it MUST be someone else.
