Iceman Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 perhaps LeChuck Norris was right, about the only possible ins being the 2 loan signings
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 So ireland has failed his newcastle medical? The funny thing is, deadline day deals make people push on with the move whether there is a potential injury or not whereas in the summer they'd usually avoid like the plague.
Sverre Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 perhaps LeChuck Norris was right, about the only possible ins being the 2 loan signings My gut is telling me the same.. Hopefully my gut is wrong. And LeChuck.
alexanders Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I fear that too, but I think Formica just landed at Manchester Airport with his brand new passport and is on his way to Ewood to finalize everything as we speak
nicko Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 So ireland has failed his newcastle medical? There is a problem. It may be sorted by re-negotiating terms. However it could be totally scrapped. Know in an hour.
Pete1981 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 From Andy Cryer CryerRovers Andrew Cryer Just had someone on phone asking about possibility of Diouf to Blackpool...... I guess if Adam goes they will have cash to spend.
Rover & Out Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 SSN News Bar...'Blackburn decide they need to keep Aberdeen loan target Jason Lowe' I find this strange given the amount of central midfielders we currently have. Possible departures?
Oklahoma Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Maybe we can get Adam and send Diouf, Andrews and Grella to Blackpool
Backroom DE. Posted January 31, 2011 Backroom Posted January 31, 2011 Blackpool's problem is their wage cap structure. Can't see Diouf going there for £10k a week. Either they get rid of that structure, bringing a whole load of new debt on the club as other players renegotiate for higher wages, or stick to buying players who are happy to earn within that bracket. Saying that, is Beattie only going to be on £10k ?
Kelbo Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 SSN News Bar...'Blackburn decide they need to keep Aberdeen loan target Jason Lowe' I find this strange given the amount of central midfielders we currently have. Possible departures? Probably Kean has realised just how bad our Keef is, I am sure we must have young players better than Andrews!!
nicko Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Hearing Carroll to Liverpool could be on at a fee as high as £35 million... The next few hours are going to be good.
deftangel Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Just seen from @barcastuff on Twitter that Barcelona want to include a buy-back clause for Rochina until 2012. Perhaps that's the hold up? Apologies if that's already been mentioned! Implies the info is from SkySports though but does say he's having his medical. Also Carroll at £35m? This place would be in meltdown if we wasted that much money on him!
JW11 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 wish we would hurry up and confirm a signing. getting Anxious
ada2020 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 wish we would hurry up and confirm a signing. getting Anxious Dare I say it, I dont feel there will be any...........
Blue n White Rover Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Andy Carroll done deal is what I'm hearing...
Iceman Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 What was all that @#/?, coming out of Jerome Andersons mouth? Interesting? Rovers? Never true!
tommm Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 The Guardian have "Breaking news: Liverpool have agreed a £35m fee for Newcastle striker Andy Carroll ..." on the ticker bar on their football front page.
Gambit217 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 On BBC Feed.. BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty on Twitter: "Barcelona's young striker Ruben Rochina expected to complete his a move to Blackburn later today."
BRFC95 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Also Carroll at £35m? He reminds me very much of a young Alan Shearer in his attitude, style and sometimes his finishing. He's bigger and stronger though.
Bobby G Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 By interesting JA may have meant we are getting a couple of players in (Rochina, Formica). I cant believe Newcastle are this lucky!
ada2020 Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 He reminds me very much of a young Alan Shearer in his attitude, style and sometimes his finishing. He's bigger and stronger though. He's taller thats about it, Shearer was strong as a bull and ten times the player Carrol will ever be.
Hi Mack Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I'm sure Venkys will want a signing or 2 in by the end of play.....makes their statements look very silly if nothing happens!

Gav Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 He reminds me very much of a young Alan Shearer in his attitude, style and sometimes his finishing. He's bigger and stronger though. Spot on, couldn't agree more.
