Erm... Hoilett, Olsson, Kalinic, N'Zonzi, P.Jones, Hanley.. You need people around these players who has more experience.

Not having a dig, just pointing out that our team is filled with youngish players already. Hopefully, we can add Formica and Rochina to that.

Yes, a good blend of youth and experience is the way forward and we are getting there, with young players you will always get inconsistency, the older lads are there to steady things somewhat.

PS - With Carroll leaving, and Newcastle unable to find replacements ? - maybe a cheeky bet for Newcastle to be relegated...

Two serious updates.

LARSSON...Man City offering silly money as a loan fee...but still likely to be kept by Birmingham...loan fee is MORE than full-time bid offer by Rovers...so that cocks things up for an immediate move to Rovers.

DIOUF...think he will be off...growing interest...won't be Blackpool...could not pay his National Insurance.

On a further note...Adam to Man U is total tripe.

Sky just said that Birmingham have stated that Larsson is not going to Manchester City..

Carroll offer been rejected according to SSN.

Carroll will HAVE to fly to Liverpool. There would HAVE to be a medical. Unless there has been one already which I am assured has NOT happened.

The fee for that will HAVE to be agreed and done simultaneously to Torres going to Chelsea.

Do not go to bed early.

Difference for me being they are selling a far superior player in Torres (not by choice, granted). It's effectively Torres for Carroll & £15m. I can imagine if Newcastle made that offer in one package they would have been told where to go.

It's not impossible but I'd be willing to bet that he won't turn out to be half the player Shearer was. I remember a newspaper headline back during the 1994 WC qualifying campaign before that infamous game in Rotterdam titled "WE FEAR SHEARER". He had barely played half of the prior season (his first) for us because of injury.

With all due respect to the lesser lights of International football, they would never fear Andy Carroll, let alone the likes of Spain or the Dutch doing so.

I'm more curious as to who he'll need to live with if he's got to move out of Kevin Nolan's place! He's going to need a minder in Liverpool...
