Regarding Adam. No one forces players to sign a contract and the club can't just stop paying them when it suits. Why do players think they can kick up a fuss and go when they want to?

Erm, didn't he have to take them to court to get them to pay him what he was owed. I don't know the ins and outs of the case but frankly Blackpool can have no complaints about him wanting to leave if it came to that

The way things are at the moment, I think we're doing OK in the window. Lose Samba and it takes on a completely different complexion.

i dont think we will now , i think he'll sign his new contract and that will be an end to it , overall if you look at this window we've brought in 2 players albeit temporary , in area's we knew we needed to strengthen we've retained salgado for another year and the likes of Robbo Nelsen and probably Samba have agreed new deals , chimbonda has left some of the younger players have gone out on loan to gain some experience i think this has been the best window for a good few years and with Formica Rochina and possibly 1 or 2 others lined up for the future i'm a happy bunny :tu:

At this stage in the last Transfer Window we were debating whether Benjani could do a job for us and accepting that was all we could afford.

Now we're wondering if it'll be worth getting Sebastian Larsson in as he may not get a game or if Brazilian legend Riquelme would have added anything to the squad.

With signatures from Salgado, Nelsen and others from Samba and Robinson this will be a massive improvement on the last window.

The Formica deal would be amazing if it happened and with Keith Andrews back to fitness these are good times to be a Rover!

What?!

Well it seems there are a number of clubs who hope to sign Larsson on a free in the next window when his contract expires. VILLA have now gone on record saying they will attempt to sign him (see below link).

IF we want him now is the time to put in a firm bid or kiss the chances of capturing him goodbye and move on to other options.

Anybody expressed an interested in signing Warnock from villa by the way? (liverpool maybe) nothing seems to be happening with this and i can't understand how a player can fall from grace so quickly. Especially as he can prob' be bought at bargain price.

Does that mean he travelled to Birmingham with the squad? Or that Roque and Salgado aren't included today?

Yes it does according to the article.

If you put it through a translating programme this is how it reads (not perfect translation but you can get a good idea).

It passed through so many chapters the game of Formic Mauro that until the buying club does not make official its hiring, nobody will breathe calm. Equal, although the contract was not signed yesterday as it assumed, which alerted on possible difficulties in the transference of Newell's to Blackburn Rovers, from all the parts transmitted a calm message, assuring that the operation will close Monday. The retinue that left to Europe Sunday to the night will remain in England the weekend and today the Cat will be seeing its future equipment, in the visit to Aston Villa, in a sample of which it would only lack the hook. It was hoped that today Formic it signs the bond by three year and a half with Blackburn Rovers, but could not be reason why it would have been a bureaucratic question of The Football Association (FA), the English federation of soccer. It is that to authorize a movement of players first it must approve contracts, as much of sale as the one of the own player. And the substantial advance of yesterday was that the same were made, after to decide word all the numbers Thursday, and elevated to the FA, that took their time to review them and to give OK them. Everybody trusts that it will be the last stumbling block. And so much was the confidence in that the transference will become, that dirigenciales sources gave leprous it by fact to Ovación, just like from the surroundings of the player, which it discarded any problem with the communitarian passport (to see aside), although it yesterday had to make a proceeding on the matter. In addition, manager of the English equipment, Steve Kean, confirmed yesterday at noon that " we have the hope to clock on and off to Formica". The peculiar thing of this manager, that recently is in the position and is had it in very good consideration, is that it compared to Formic with Gabriel Batistuta, although some related to the soccer origin of both and the potentiality which they offered, and not to the game position. Leprous president Guillermo Lorente, Formic and the representative Fabian Basualdo remained then in the small city of Blackburn, in the county of Lancashire. And only yesterday the player put itself in atmosphere, having dinner with a future companion: Roque Santa Cruz (also he will be it the Spanish Michel Salgado). The Paraguayan was in the club formerly, returned the past week and celebrated of host of the Cat, that will have to be accustomed in addition to the language and to handle of the right side. So far, he will orient to the guaraní to look for it together address and will be today in Birmingham, in the visit to Aston Villa. The weekend would pass without new features. Formic Monday goes away of Newell' s. It is what, except for the fans who of all ways understand the needs, everybody in the Park hopes. Communitarian passport, solved Formic Mauro traveled with the payable communitarian passport and it yesterday updated it in the Argentine consulate. Although it was a proceeding that had to realise, in the surroundings of the player they explained that of no way it would unite the transference. The Cat has Italian citizenship and therefore it does not need a permission work to play in the Premier League, nor in no other site of the European Community, where it does not occupy foreigner place.

Roque and Salgado are in the squad. Maybe the meal was about the night before.

If the passport issue has been sorted then the deal will be done.

Some good work here by the club.

Hope he is worth it.

£3 million fee.

Thought these Indians were cowboys?

SAMBA...Money for nothing?...has got a rise in his new deal, but it's not a daft one...all of that fuss over about £5,000-a-week rise...still a local hero.

Lost some serious respect, IMO. Meh, that's the way of the game, these days.
