 @ numbnuts thinking Villanueva's failure was down to Sam's tactics.

Of course Sam's tactics played a part. You would have to be simple mined not to see he clearly had no place in the system Sam was playing. There is a is a good chance he wouldn't have settled anyway but he would have had more chance of success under the current manager.

Formica not playing in either match this week.

Hearing he was sensational in training yesterday- none of our defenders could cope with him.

If that's the case, I wonder how long it will be til some team "takes him out"?

Hopefully they won't be able to catch him.

We finished 10th the year before, and our three most important players that season were arguably Bentley, Friedel and Roque.

I was right about that single cell. Obviously doesn't control memory function.

Christ its boring when people keep reffering to Okocha and Djorkaeff at Bolton. They still hoofed it 90% of the time.

Yes, but it was creative hoofing :P

To be fair, they haven't been coping well with anything at times this season ...

Wasn't Blackburn interested in keeping Villanueva? But due to an asking price of 5 million pounds, he ended up elsewhere?

Personally, I thought he did OK. According to wikipedia, he got 2 goals and 4 assists in 15 games for Blackburn.

Spoke to Sam and Carlos after his last game and Sam wanted to keep him and Carlos wanted to stay but Rovers could not match the wages offered to him by the arab club belived to be £50,000 a week!

Lowe on twiter stating that he looked pretty good.

Ofcourse he did, he's only the next Gabriel Batistuta, we'll sell him when he is 31 years old for £23 million after years of genius.

Right and the need for sarcasm? Saying someone looked pretty good is hardly saying he is the next ballon d'or winner.

I was only joking on Kean's comment, he might be awesome, I was being optimistic more then sarcastic.

its good news he is impressing.

Excuse me for not reading back through the formica and rochina threads, but do we have any idea how much the undisclosed fees were?

About £3 mil for Formica and £1 mil for Rochina

This fella must be in a really bad way if he ain't playing Saturday.

If even half fit he isn't better than Andrews, pedersen, n'zonzi, Roberts, diouff, or kalinic then he is nowhere near the player ive been led to suspect he is.

See absolutely no reason that rochina shouldn't go straight in upfront cannot possibly have less composure that the encumbants.

It looked like Dunny might be feeling the competition for that creative midfielder role tonight ^_^ Been a while since there was competition for that place in the team.
