Made the wrong choice today, could have been somewhere better.

Absolutely appalling, so much so that I left with some 20 minutes to go

IMO, we will very soon be in a relegation fight with this rookie manager – make no mistake about it. Inexperienced managers do not work in the EPL – fact.

Seemingly, no game plan, no tactics and very little hope.

Unfortunately, same points now, game after game – Salgado, age has caught-up and the opposition now know it, anyone still think Jones is a midfield master / enforcer and RSC, available for 5 games and has played 1 full game and 2 half games and still goalless – presumably, he was injured again (not a surprise - see my pre match comments). Mr Kean’s new contracts and new signings not looking particularly good!

Some of us knew how good Sam was. Many others will soon start to realise that including our new owners. The end of the season now looks horrible.

The Steve Kean revolution has brought us wins over two teams in the space of two months.

but....he's highly thought of in some footballing circles. That's got to count for something.

Di Matteo is available if we want to play beautiful football. Something we failed to do today.

as a coach, he was a diseaster as a assistant manager thats why he was demoted to coach

anyway still bit early to judge, but will be a long two weeks

Very very poor. We really are looking tactically poor, and suffering from not exploiting the Jan transfer window.

Same shinola, different day. I really thought players like Roberts would have moved on by now. But we are still watching them, and they are still very poor.

Honeymoon period over. Call me fickle but can we have a proper manager now please.

Very poor all over the park, no RS/MF down our right in the first half led to Salgado getting murdered tome and time again.

Serious questions to be asked of either the players or the man making the decisions.

I hate bringing refs into the game but he was so disrespectful to his profession, rates as one of the worst performances in watching 50 years of football.

The comments are all the same, we all agree it was dreadful. Toothless up front, outplayed in midfield.

But what is the answer ? What on earth can we do ?

Could have started with not sacking the manager who was actually getting results out of our average(being generous) team.

No, the referee had a good game. We were awful.

No we were awful and the ref was as well. It didn't effect the outcome much but he was just inept for both sides, how did he or his lino not spot the most blatant foul throw you will see from 3 yards away.

I thought everyone was bad, Nelsen got MOTM but made some stupid errors in the first half conceeding needless corners and the like, same with Samba.

Niko did nothing to show he should be starting games, he's like Bambi on ice and just doesn't effect the game whilst RSC's only contriution of note was missing an easy chance.

Kean got the starting line up just about right but the substitutions were questionable at best.

And before it's said a million times I couldn't care less how amazing Sam is and how we would have won 5-0 with him, he's gone and is of no signifigance now.

Depressing, boring afternoon.

Second best in every department. Point gained!

Even if we just scrape it and stay up this season what do we have to look forward to next year.

2 more years of Jason Roberts not shooting makes me feel a bit sick. We looked like rabbits in headlights today against a promoted side.

He can't be that highly thought of. He was struggling for work before we appointed him first team coach.

But what is the answer ? What on earth can we do ?

Play something resembling a proper 4-4-2, or go 4-3-3 if we need bodies in the middle.

If it could be summarised in one word - 'width'.

Anyone else notice we've been terrible since kean brought in 'his' assistant??

Yeah but Kean is still a rubbish manager and that is the main problem.

What was with the Hoilett sub? Our most dangerous player goes off. I hope he had a knock because if not he deserves shooting for that piece of genius.

We didn't look dangerous after santa hit the post. The midfield is still shockingly weak.

Today we played like Allardyce was back in charge .... it was THAT bad.

Hope Santa Cruz and Hoilett were injured otherwise they were the two poorest subs of Kean's reign so far.

Have to say that although we didn't play well, Newcastle did - a point is a good result based on what I've just seen.

Oh well, Kean's got a couple of weeks and plenty to work on.

He can't be that highly thought of. He was struggling for work before we appointed him first team coach.

But certain 'in-the-know' posters have told us otherwise, so we should bow to their more well-informed opinion on this.

Also for anyone wanting to make an Allardyce comparison to make Kean look better, don't. Allardyce won every game he played against Newcastle while in charge of us.

Need Ollson and Junior on the wings.

I really don't understand the obsession people have with Olsson in midfield.

Enrique was the best attacking player on the field today, he was playing left back. An overlapping full back is a brilliant weapon to have, there is nothing restrictive about playing Olsson there.

Wide players need to smarter and have a larger range of skills than Olsson. Hoilett has that to his game, but Olsson is very one dimensional. He could make a cracking full back in the mould of Clichy, Evra, Baines, Enrique etc. if given time.
