gumboots Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Convicts out. We can sit back and enjoy the rest of the tournament now. I'd have enjoyed it more if the Aussies had beaten the Indians - not that i like the Aussies but I'm sick and fed up of kids who would be very upset if you tried telling them they weren't English suddenly remembering that their greatgrandparents came from india and supporting the Indian team. My greatgrandparents came from Wales, Ireland Scotland etc but I'm as English as they come and so should they be not just when it suits them but all the time. Rant over.
SouthAussieRover Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Convicts out. We can sit back and enjoy the rest of the tournament now. England will probably go out tonight...having said that, what with the tournament they've had, they'll probably go and win it
SouthAussieRover Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Not when I thought they were playing. However, they are playing at 730pm CST tomorrow my time. Which would make it ? 9pm UK time ?
adopted scouser Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 England struggling, and Sri Lanka have Malinga another chucker. Did he train at wrigley field ?
Backroom Tom Posted March 26, 2011 Backroom Posted March 26, 2011 I think England will win this, the luck is on side.
Backroom Tom Posted March 26, 2011 Backroom Posted March 26, 2011 Swann you bloody idiot, try and be clever and that happens!
dave birch Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Punter goes as captain. Jumped before being pushed. He'll still be available as a batsman. Maybe he'll find a bit of form without the added pressure of the captaincy. I'm not convinced of his (supposed) replacement in Clarke, but feel he'll only be a fill in for a couple of years. Still, Punter had a pretty good record, something like 48 wins out of 77 matches. Cricket was pretty good for him (and still is), he lives in a mansion overlooking Port Hacking, and spent gazillions doing it up. He can always improve his golf. He's off scratch, I believe.
