I believe it was a late-diagnosed brain tumour.

Yes 36 is no age at all. RIP. Makes you wonder if there's any thing in the theory that heading the ball is bad for you.

Dean was staying at the same complex as my wife and I on our honeymoon in Mexico in 1997. He was a top bloke, not up himself and good for a chat.

Very sad to hear of his death at such a young age.
