But that's only in your head of course, because I distinctly remember a large number of forward balls from him. I definitely remember the ball moving forward for the goals he scored - I'm guessing in your head the goal posts moved backwards instead though

They were misplaced passes, Julie cant pass wind!!

The other fact of the matter is booing a player is completely counterproductive, however you dress it up. If you pulled on a Rovers shirt, whatever your level of ability, surely the supporters should want you to succeed, and support you!

That's the problem for me; the people who are bleating about him now are the same people who were bleating about him before he even kicked a ball for us, and are the same people who accordingly thought it was OK to boo him from the off.

As such I really can't give too much credence to what they have to say, beyond knowing that these people don't realise how perception affects their judgement of course.

They were cracking misplaced passes - I certainly wish some more of our players would make them!

Very true. Where have you been for so long ?

Yes, I believe he is a good player. I think the fact he is an International regular, and has played regularly in our side since signing

There's not many fans who think he's a good player but we all have our opinions while saying he's an international player in the context of the current very weak Ireland team means very little. He's been picked at various times by Ince, Allardyce and Kean but Allardyce dumped him for a considerable period.

i havent really been involved in the andrews debate, but from what ive seen, he just isnt up to EPL standard. And thats actually in every area, from physical, mental and technical attributes. There are millions of players, who never get to that level, so its not a sin by any means.

i have a question and its quite simple, in our opinion, what makes andrews good enough to play in the EPL.?

i would like it, if you could answer the question, without using the argument, well ince, sam and trappatoni picked him, cause thats not an answer that relates to your thoughts on his abilities. Just your honest opinion of andrews and where he excels and where he doesnt.

You guys should see if you can arrange a meeting with him. You can say something along the lines of:

"Look Keith, I know you've played for your country and in the best league in the world for a number of years now, but you should really listen to us. We have no experience in the game and haven't played football since secondary school but its pretty obvious we know what we're talking about and could do a better job than you. We are in no way trying to blame a succession of terrible performances (half of which you didn't feature in) on one scapegoat, but you have to admit this is all your fault. Now get lost you useless turd, I pay 10 whole pounds to watch Rovers play and can do 26 kick-ups, which means I get to insult you whenever I want."

Haha

Best post by miles.

I like how it sums up most posters on here too. (Jal, Al, Gav etc)

No wonder people stop reading this board with all these clueless clowns about.

Yes it used to be far better before 1908.

There was a better class of poster who did not try to defend the indefensible.

I honestly don't see why if someone fails to agree on a point they are "clueless clowns" that would be like calling people who see Andrews as a "good" player as blind, hopelessly romantic, delusional wretches.

Both are not on. We have a difference of opinion on a player, that is all.

If you look back through these threads I was an avid backer of Andrews when he first joined and into his second season. My hope was that he would acclimatise to his new surroundings and improve. In my opinion he has gotten worse, his zeal to try his damnedest has left leaving what we have now.

As for being chosen for Ireland - if I could prove that my grandma at some point slipped and fell in some discarded jizzum belonging to an Irishman at some point in her life, I could probably get a game. Also by that same rational - he is good enough for Ireland, hence he is an international footballer, hence good - we should buy the entire Djibouti national team or perhaps the world beaters from Lower Slobobia. We would then have a very cheap team of fantastic international players.

As for Sam picking him - most people who claim that he is a "good" player also deem Sam a crap manager.

You sound like a decent chap or chappess and I do respect your opinion.

My opinion is that you have a serious issue with your brain if you think he is a good player. Keith Andrews is NOT nor IS nor WILL EVER be a decent Premiership player. He is shyte,

Now then, as your head aches, please can you or anyone else bring anything to the fore that Keith brings to the Blackburn team.

He cant head, tackle, shoot or score, he runs like a girl, points like a wuss, follows the ball and not the player, gives the ball away, leaves vasts amount of space in the middle, doesnt defend, doesnt attack with any purpose, shouts for a pass 20 yards behind the ball and so on. So PLEASE, is there anyone out there that can name the one positive thing that he brings to the team.

Regardless of past footballing experience, it's not hard to tell that Keith is a weak link. All because he's an international doesn't mean he's a good PREMIER LEAGUE player.

The clueless clowns was because some posters post absolute bobbins.

"get rid of Kean, he subbed Holiet off" (even though he has just come back from injury)

"I wouldn't have Owen Coyle as manger because he's managed Burnley once and therefore is tainted..."

After Andrews scored a penalty against Liverpool last season "he did his best to miss it!"

"I'll boo if I want, I pay £210 a season for my seat so I shall get my point across at the cost of team morale"

"442 442 442"

"Andrews has never made a tackle"

"Why dont we bid for Joey Barton? Even when he's not available" that one was repeated about 7 times.

"Jerome Anderson is the devil!" know him do you?

"you know what, now you've said it, I don't like Steve Kean either! P.s. This band wagon you've got is pretty comfy" that's a copy and paste for the sheep

"Why is Olsson marking Drogba anyway; when Drogba is taller?" that was regarding a header that Drogba won from a cross in open play when Drogba was on Olsson's wing...

"Booooooo"

"let's have a fans protest"

The club has got more important things to worry about right now than Keith Andrews.

True, Andrews needs to be put on ignore by the clubs management team until the summer when they can move him on. To put him in the team just adds to further complicate what is a already a difficult situation but then when we've got idiots in charge the simplest of task seems so hard for them to achieve.

I'll claim the 442 one.

Who did the Andrews Liverpool classic?

T4E own up

I agree arran that our fanbase has an increasing number of morons, but this is the most critical period for the club in decades (if not ever), so people have every right to be aghast that it is Steve Kean that will oversee it.

I totally understand that, I've no problem with that at all.

It's just the people who just jump on the band wagon with the "he subbed Givet off after he'd been playing well (he'd taken a knock) so he's clueless therefore he has to go"

Joey Barton was available super_arron you had to make a bid first though.

I've not got enough money JAL

But if Rovers were Interested It's my understanding that a club usually see if a player is available before they put in a bid.

Yes, but you've got to show an interest first, with Barton though there was never any interest.

The players being subbed due to knocks wasn't an issue, the replacements and consequent tactics were. He's made a number of nonsensical decisions when it comes to substitutions and these can be the difference between winning a game or not. Thus I can see why some get overly animated.

That's a great post - very funny

But sort of suggests nobody should comment about anything to do with football, which is kind of the point of messageboards no?

You mean it wasn't in the press?

How do you know we didn't?

You seem to presume things because they haven't been published.

We might have looked into signing Barton, we might not have. But to state as fact that we didn't is just plain daft.

Nicko told us so during the transfer thread.
