Would you rather we kept the same team that capitulated at Villa?

No I'd rather he hadn't picked that team at Villa in the first place.

No consistancy in selection then he wonders why the players don't seem to know what they are doing

3 strikers and not 1 defender on the bench, seriously what is this guy thinking?

+ Olsson & Hoilett on the wings.

+ Andrews dropped

+ Pedersen dropped

- Kalinic dropped

- Roberts starting

Good post. Agree with pretty much all of this, would only add as a + Givet at lb. Not sure whether I'd have dropped Pedersen, given he's stronger in centre mid, but certainly the metaphorical kick up the backside can't hurt.

Am suprised we start with Roberts and Diouf up front instead of Kalanic and Santa Cruz (fair play if Rocky not starting is due to fitness) but am not convinced that the two starting are our best forwards. Kalinic certainly fits with the football Kean is trying to play. And I certainly wonder what on earth Roberts has done to warrent a place in our team, much less a new contract...

To be fair, do we have any sub defenders left? Emo can fit in right back, Olsson left back, Givet center back so not too worried. But having 3 strikers is pointless.

Not feeling positive. I fear an early goal.

Salgado, Givet and Roberts are all experienced pro's. It may not be the best line up in terms of attacking flair etc... But it contains the 3 (arguably 4 with Samba) players who should know the magnitude of what is looming large. Essential that we have some wise old heads in there at the moment.

I don't think having the 3 strikers on the bench is necessarily a bad thing. If we are chasing the game with 10-15 mins to go, everyone on hear would be complaining if we had no options on the bench to throw on. Lets just see how things play out.

An early goal conceded and we might be in for a long afternoon.

There's a stream behind our house... It's actually more like a river these days. ;)

This is a game we need to win. The only possible positive thing a loss does is maybe get rid of SK and Faxe. Since Faxe joined we've defended like schoolboys. Some assistant coach...

My missus has made a South Pacific Island Rum Punch for this afternoon. Must be powerful stuff as after two glasses and having seen the pace in the team, I now fancy a surprise Rovers win. On to another glass !

I'm a little more excited about this line-up than the Aston Villa one to be fair. The midfield four is the best we have in my opinion and bar Nelsen's absence at the back, it's probably our strongest back four also. The strikeforce doesn't totally fill me with confidence but at least you can always gurantee these two will offer good movement. Plus we have good options from the bench if we need to change things.

The one thing Diouf doesnt have is pace. He's no Pedersen but he definitely isnt pacy.

I disagree, when he wants to he can turn a player and leave them for dead. He just needs to do it more often.
