Bobby G Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Nope of course not. What also annoys me is that people like jerome anderson are allowed to operate in the way they do and nothing is done about it by any governing body. It is little wonder football clubs throughout the world are in debt. But Fifa, Uefa etc do nothing at all about it. Then you will be pleased to know that FIFA has SCRAPPED licensed agents cause they couldnt control them, so effectively you and I can begin negotiating on behalf of players right now.

cloggyjimmybrfc Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 If we let the chairperson do the wheeling and dealings for players.....then god help us.....

Yov've lost me on that one. If licenced agents are scrapped, how come they are still operating, such as JA and co?
Ricky Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 The available manager list is bit great at the moment. I can't see us getting sam back as I don't think he'd take the job now. We need someone to come in and give the players a lift and some motivation. Wonder if the lively manner of o'neil would be the best option. Sven could also be a possibility as he also seems to have the ability to get the best out of his players.
Bobby G Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Yov've lost me on that one. If licenced agents are scrapped, how come they are still operating, such as JA and co? No no. It means you no longer need a license to be an agent. There is no monitoring anymore, etc... The available manager list is bit great at the moment. We need a motivator more than anything. O'Neil fits the bill even though I dont like him. Otherwise, go for someone tactically astute, Benitez maybe. No one can slack off with him around for sure.

Some more info on that if you are interested, incidentally FIFA are yet to scrap the license, I believe it is a proposal. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/european-agents-take-battle-fifa-1425741

Its not a proposal anymore.
Stuart Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 As daft and unlikely as it sounds, Benitez is a cup specialist. And we have 9 cup matches coming up. Can't imagine Mrs D. Even going back to JW to ask about a bit of paperwork that she can't find, let alone Big Sam to return - although had he not already been here, he would represent the ideal candidate. As it is he'd probably tell her to buy one get one free. We need our manager (for the remainder of the season) to be proven, experienced and out of work. Humble pie it is then Mrs D. Failing that, Martin Jol would be my suggestion. Assuming he could work with Jensen. I seem to recall Kean saying he'd be happy to be caretaker, manager or first team coach when he first stepped up but has the mud stuck and would a new man trust him? As someone said, perception is reality. Plus, would the players want him around?
Kelbo Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 If we let the chairperson do the wheeling and dealings for players.....then god help us..... Thats why I think it will be a foreign manager, Italy and Spain do it that way all the time, the manager sorts out the tactics, selectios etc!!
broadsword Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I hope whoever gets it is prepared to fly over to India regularly to brown-nose.
Ricky Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I've got it, the perfect team for rovers. Fatih Terim with Tugay as his assistant. World class manager who has been successful and has years of experience with an assistant who loves the club.
Olveres Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 There'll be lots of candidates for this one, if they save us they're a hero, if we go down it was hardly their fault was it?

There'll be lots of candidates for this one, if they save us they're a hero, if we go down it was hardly their fault was it? To be honest if a new manager takes over before Blackpool and we still go down, then you would lay a percentage of the blame at his door too, cause in reality we are still outside the relegation zone right now.

World class manager who has been successful and has years of experience with an assistant who loves the club. Would be a good team. But I think whoever take over whether it's McClaren or Jol or Ranieri, It would be a great decision to get Tugay back at the club as number 2 and then for him to take over in 3 or 4 years time.
alexanders Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Didnt tugay fall out with terim in the national team?
cloggyjimmybrfc Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Short term....mon......long term...jol....will it happen?....what will chicken run destroy next?...
dave birch Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I remember the first win Ince was in charge of ; Everton, if I'm not mistaken. It was reported that the players ignored PI's request to play for the draw, and got the win. This tells me that the players have it in themselves to pull it together to win games. They know what the game is about; it is partly up to them if they feel Kean is missing out on something.
Maverick Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 As a norwegian it would be great to see Ståle Solbakken as Manager at Rovers. Yes, I know he is unproven at this level, but look at what he as done with København in the Champians leauge. He is taking over as manager for Norway in the summer, but has a contract that says he can go to a bigger club, if he want too.
Majiball Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I'm all for Raneiri, should Kean be given his marching orders. I always loved his comparisons, carlton cole was his young lion and I can't wait to hear his animal for Keith, lol.
T.J.Newton Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Slaven Bilic would be my shout, Very passionate inspirational manager that is also a very skilled tactician. maybe sounes in the short term to keep us in the prem.
bonerdude Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I would like to see parkes save us once again, some one who cares about rovers and its fans..................BRING BACK MR BLACKBURN ROVERS VENKYS !!!!!!!!
yellowsubmarine Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 How many games are there left? I doubt even if Venky sacked Kean now, they will not have enough time to hire a short term manager who could save us. May God bless us all! We can only pray now...
Steve Moss Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I've got it, the perfect team for rovers. Fatih Terim with Tugay as his assistant. World class manager who has been successful and has years of experience with an assistant who loves the club. I would be very happy with this combo. Slaven Bilic would be my shout, Very passionate inspirational manager that is also a very skilled tactician. Would be a bit of a gamble, but not much of one and would be far superior to Kean. And he'd get the best out of Kalinic. All in my opinion of course.
JMillZz Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Get Niko on the phone begging Bilic to come save us. He can come, keep us up, Kranjcar comes running to Blackburn in summer as well as some other good players, Kranjcar supplies Niko with lots of goals = we do well next season... Ahh a lovely dream...
Plastic Head Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Just posted for McLaren out the Kean thread. Can't think of a better/safer/likelier option at the moment.
