Sverre Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 What about a manager who knows Rovers and the Premier League? Henning Berg. Very slim chances of that happening. He is busy preparing the team he is managing before the start of a new season in the Norwegian premiership.

USABlue Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Where did someone mention Kendall's name. What's he up to nowadays anyway
mode_m Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Souness and Wilkins are on Sky as guests today, i'd take either of them til the end of the season I always liked Souness while he was at Rovers.
Stuart Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 We should try a cheeky bid to tempt Grant from West Ham and kill two birds with one stone! Although I'd sooner have Big Eck from Brum - another cup specialist..
Torgeir Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Very slim chances of that happening. He is busy preparing the team he is managing before the start of a new season in the Norwegian premiership. You don't think he'd leave Lillestrøm for Blackburn Rovers in a flash? I do... not the right man for the job in my eyes. We're in quite a predicament. If Kean is to leave or get sacked then I say bring in someone who can tighten up our defense - offer George Graham the job until the end of the season then bring in Ranieri in the summer.
LeChuck Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 We should try a cheeky bid to tempt Grant from West Ham and kill two birds with one stone! Grant is dreadful. Took Pompey down and is doing the same at West Ham. He might get lucky and just scrape through thanks to the finance provided by Gold and Sullivan in January.

Spot on, the only thing keeping them up is January signings and Scott Parker not Baron Greenback.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Grant is dreadful. Took Pompey down and is doing the same at West Ham. He might get lucky and just scrape through thanks to the finance provided by Gold and Sullivan in January. You can't be serious. I'd have him over Kean tomorrow.
Darwen Rover Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 You can't be serious. I'd have him over Kean tomorrow. Having someone over kean is no barometer!!!
LeChuck Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 You can't be serious. I'd have him over Kean tomorrow. He's an improvement over Kean but still an awful manager, not a Premier League level one. I don't see why we'd go to the effort/cost of getting him from West Ham when there are plenty of unemployed managers around that are better.
PAFELL Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 We should try a cheeky bid to tempt Grant from West Ham and kill two birds with one stone! Although I'd sooner have Big Eck from Brum - another cup specialist.. I really do not know why this thread is still open. Venky's have, sadly, said Kean is staying. As much as I want a change, it appears it is not going to happen. Even though there were rumours he would be sacked, these proved false.
roverandout Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 dont knock me for this suggestion but how about van gaal in the summer, i know he might see rovers as below him but surely having experienced life at the top for so long, he might fancy a different sort of challenge? Hes a proper manager. He helped bring through ajax's wonder kids, seedorf, kluivert, davids, litmanen, reiseger and has done a good job wherever hes gone. migght help do the same with rovers' kids.
Hekla Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Van Gaal would never come here, that isn't any disrespect but he just wouldn't be seen here.
rebelmswar Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I know it is madness and it goes against every single fiber of my being, but the only person who can save us now is Kean. May God have mercy on our club.
Hekla Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Yes, it is a huge ask. If he achieves the best results, will he become a hero?
rebelmswar Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Yes, it is a huge ask. If he achieves the best results, will he become a hero? If he keeps us up I will publicly kiss his arse. Then begin to freak out with the thought of him starting with zero points.
Mc Love Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Not a chance - he will need to do some serious ass kissing to become a hero
Olveres Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 There is only one way forward to us... Charlie Sheen as Manager, Gaddafi as Assistant, Hugo Chavez as First Team Coach, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Club Chairman. NO ONE WOULD DARE F**K WITH US. Oh and the Rao brothers can dress up as Roar and Roarina.
Mc Love Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Oh and the Rao brothers can dress up as Roar and Roarina. That would please me very much Barry would definitely have to be Roar
roverwhelmed Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Haha I'm AMAZED Paul Ince is only at 40-1, as if!
rebelmswar Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 My link Not really worth it but that is where I would put my money.
