Mercer Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Fact, fiction, drivel or whatever adjective you may wish to chose, I think that the proof of the pudding will be in the eating. IMO, sometime between now and the end of the season, I think things will become clearer in the public domain when the good, the bad and the ugly will eventually emerge. I think it will be more than interesting.

philipl Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Mercerman, I have given up posting in the vein of your most recent post. Either what you and I are hearing is wrong and I for one will be hugely relieved if it is or the smelly proverbial is going to be dropping on Rovers and its wee manager before too long.
SamTheShrew Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 What would be the result of what you allude to, is it anything other than the club look like more of a joke?
nellybc Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 i am getting right royally fed up of reading about what may or may not happen to the club and what you are hearing! I love 95% of your posts but all this recent hearsay rubbish is getting right on my nerves!! Save it til the season is over, what good is it doing now spreading rumours ?? Just get behind the team for the next 6 games and then we can start disecting all the rights and wrongs. COME ON YOU BLUES!!

Don’t give him credibility Philipl, he’s been saying the same thing week in week out since joining the site just before Christmas, after returning from his ban with his pro-burnley rhetoric. Why do you feel the need to set the hares running by posting such things? I’ve never known you to be right yet, you’d think after a while you’d give up the ghost. I more than anyone invite people to post whatever they like on forums such as this, but the constant berating of the manager and owners is becoming tiresome, with all the inside knowledge blah blah blah.
Billy Castell Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Sounds to me like Mercerman and Phillip have heard stories from 'sources' that Kean is letting the players dictate everything with regards to training, tactics etc. I have nothing to back this up, but that is where my thoughts are leading me.

You 2 are increasing the laughing stock status of the club, put up or shut up ffs

PAFELL Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Heard some weird and not so wonderful speculation about Kean's management today. If correct, and we lose badly on Saturday, the whole thing, IMO, could implode. I can't recall such collective disrespect for any Rovers' manager, and I go back 20 managers or so to the days of 'Jolly Jack' Marshall. Based on a 'straw poll' today, season ticket sales will plummet next season if Kean remains in charge. I know this is probably nothing new but reflects a sign of the times! Not amongst the players, as they do have respect for Kean. There maybe a lot on here that don't like Kean - but bear in mind that it is less than 1% of Rovers supporters that come onto this messageboard - which I am sure those who administrate this MB are happy about. But he is respected in the football world - may not be as manager of Rovers, though some acknowledge he is still learning his 'new trade'. So where are you getting this collective disrespect for Kean from? Sounds to me that somebody is treating you like a mushroom, keeping you in the dark and feeding you bulls--t.
92er Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Not amongst the players, as they do have respect for Kean. But he is respected in the football world - I have read that the players like Kean but haven't read they respect him. Other people have posted he is not respected in the football world.
LeChuck Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 But he is respected in the football world Where have you got that idea from? It seems to be a myth that's grown on here. He was on the scrapheap before we appointed him as a coach. Before that he was in the Championship. If he was so well respected I don't think he would have been struggling for a job - so much so he dropped his role from assistant to first to coach to come to us.

Maybe that was an indication of how well we were thought off!
cruz Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Why would it matter if we were to 'lose badly' surely any loss is bad enough at this stage of the season.
LeChuck Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Maybe that was an indication of how well we were thought off! Possibly. Still odd how no-one else thought he was worth employing before we hired him.
ada2020 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Possibly. Still odd how no-one else thought he was worth employing before we hired him. He turned down Chelsea a season or so back. I mean a coaching role rather than the managers job though
RovertheHill Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 To be fair, all he is trying to do is share some inforamtion he has been made aware of. Is the inforamtion complete fact? We dont know. But he is letting us know what he has been told and expressing his views in a coherent manner. Thats what a messageboard is all about. Really? Well he's lost me - there's no discernible information in the post from what I can see. I'll be glad when this season is over and we're relegated/safe and Steve Kean is sacked/awarded a contract extension, and Jerome Anderson leaves/runs the club, and we sign nobody of note/Kaka.
BRFC1995 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 54 mins of everton game no shots on target First question post match has to be " do you think you deserve to be in charge for the man.city game", followed by "your impersonation of a manager needs a lot of work"
Backroom Tom Posted April 16, 2011 Backroom Posted April 16, 2011 At least when we go down this idiot wont be in charge
chris Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 At least when we go down this idiot wont be in charge Guess again
Backroom Tom Posted April 16, 2011 Backroom Posted April 16, 2011 Guess again If that was the case and he was kept on I'd seriosuly have to re-evalute the situation
Mr. E Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I would honestly take Fat Sam coming back to Ewood over the second coming right now.
Mattyblue Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I would honestly take Fat Sam coming back to Ewood over the second coming right now. Really? Close run thing though ay?
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Rovers going down under Kean. Can't see us winning another game all season.
