Kean has the same effect on me as Jamie Redknapp - as soon as I hear 'Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean...' on SSN, I turn the thing over!! I just wish he wouldn't talk!! Other fans also picking up on how much rubbish he talks, I got this from ToffeeTalk when I went to look at my match preview

Who said this?

"...the first half I thought we were excellent, I thought we controlled the game."

a. Santa Claus

b. The Easter Bunny

c. The Great Pumpkin

d. Steve Kean

Well I’ve been firmly the ‘don’t sack Kean camp’ for most of his tenure, but I have to say now that guy offers nothing, is like a smiling rabbit in the headlights on interviews, and should be sacked as soon as possible.

As most people will know, continuity is the key to success, sacking the the manager at this stage of the season is suicide, but it’s the only way we have any chance of picking up anymore points. He’s had his chance, has blown it big time, we’re on our worse run in 25yrs, says it all.

Can’t back you any longer Kean, and with the fans calling for your head during games, the games up pal.

“Venkys, you got us in this mess, now get us out”

well done gav for saying that you have change your mind and saying why you have!

Still can't believe that the owners haven't change manager yet!

this muppet has to go!!!

KEAN OUT!!!!!!!!!

47er- Why are you talking about Venkys, the poll was about Steve Kean? As you've noticed that I have been so repetitive (ironically not in Kean or Venkys threads) my views should be clear for you.

You accused me(indirectly) of repetition. I pointed out that I didn't post at all this week till yesterday. And I realise this is not a Venky's thread although one could argue it is since Kean is obviously Venky's stooge.

You, on the other hand have been defending Venkys and Kean relentlessly for months, including everyday last week despite the mounting evidence of utter incompetence. So" yes" your views are clear to me and everyone else and you don't need to post anymore on the subject (but of course you will).

Enough already!

I said I wouldn't reply to you again, but I'll make an exception this time---"Well said".

When making subs, Kean attempted to shake hands with each player as they came off - noticed no one looked him in the eyes when doing so, if anything they were looking away from him - as usual, our coach was trying to keep things nice and positive however needs to look at the reality of the situation.

As for Jensen, he sits there like a plum looking bemused, too afraid to do anything - wonder how his new contract is coming along.

Don't Venky's or Kean care that they are ruining a very good football club who many people care about? How can they of allowed this to happen.

This is so shameful.

second this. Kean and Jensen are useless and clueless!!! OUT NOW!!!

The players don't want to play for this muppet!!! we can all see this!

why can't the owners see this?

Can't say recent results lean towards any other outcome other than him being replaced but to play devil's advocate briefly, who of any calibre would want to come in at this stage of the season? Or manage us in the Championship if the worst came to the worst?

Do we just appoint someone for the next five games?

Lack of joined-up thinking on that one, apart from "anyone would be better".

He won't be sacked anyway. These people are stubborn and ignorant and have too much pride.

I'm guessing just about any out of work manager would jump at the chance to manage in these circumstances. If we are relegated with the downward spiral we're on, they'll not be tarnished and can walk away having given it a go. If we stay up, they are hailed as a miracle worker, and probably pick up a £1m bonus.

To be fair I did say "who of any calibre".

I'm quite sure we could tempt say Bryan Robson out of the Pub for another crack of management but that would have only one likely outcome as well.

We've not had a manager of calibre since before Christmas, so it's probably a moot point!

Can Flitty try and manage Rovers and Chorley in tandem?

The irony is 47er that if it was not for posters like yourself talking on my behalf and telling me what I think, then I would not have to repeat myself constantly. This was my message to Bryan yesterday in the Everton thread:

"I am Pro Blackburn Rovers, the fact that the owners of my club are Venky's has meant that they had my support.

I said sacking Sam was a bad decision- still do.

Hiring Kean was an odd decision and I wanted an experienced manager- still do.

I have wanted Kean out since Fulham- still do.

This is not directed at you Bryan but would it make a difference if I repeated this three times a day?"

That last line is for posters like youself. If you are going to mention people at least have the decency to get your facts straight next time hey, or is that too much to ask for?

EDIT- just checked I have not posted anything Venky's related since 30th March when I said I would not comment on them, funnily enough you misread what I said then too...

Not being funny but that's a bit of a daft suggestion based purely on sentimentality and a past Rovers connection.

A bit like suggesting TP and suddenly promoting Nelsen to coach out of the blue imo.

If someone like Martin O Neil could be persuaded to take the job on a five game basis, finances permitting, I'd explore that option now personally.

But like I said can't see anyone decent being interested at this stage. If we do scrape up and are still in the Premiership in the summer I think it would be a completely different proposition.

Totally in agreement Revidge. Anyone worth their mettle in this league and currently unemployed would take the job in a heartbeat. Hopefully, Martin O' Neill is one of them because his man-management and intelligence are exactly what we need right now......and the Venky's would like him.....he's positive!

I have totally mixed feelings whether it is best to get rid of Kean. Personally I think the time went prior to the Blackpool match - when there was enough of a break.

Considering Everton's recent form - and us being away from home a defeat shouldn't have been too much of a surprise - but it all adds to the mounting evidence against him.

Unless they can pull a real rabbit out of the bag as a replacement (as Rev mentioned O'Neil) I think the impact on squad morale of sacking Kean would be too much of a risk. As much as I respect the opinion of other people - chants against Kean aren't going to help the club or the morale of the players. The only thing that will safe us is a siege mentallity amongst the players and supporters - and a little bit of luck.

Somehow we have to address our away form - at this moment in time, it is likely that the games away from home at West Ham and Wolves will seal our future.

Yes I read that and all the others.I also remember you saying till quite recently that Kean deserved a chance-----he didn't.

And you've wanted him out since Fulham?-----wow,you're quick. Most were on to him well before that. Anyway, after you and Cruz he's got nobody left except the Venkys, so time to comment on them again!

A very eloquent point DMTP but how long have we sat back and said one more game, one more game and nothing happens even though we still can't win to save our lives? I understand your point of view and the risk that comes with 'shaking things up' but let's face it, if we carry on with the one more game policy.........we'll still have Kean in charge in the Championship next season!

Unless Kean/Jensen are sacked, they will be the ones addressing our away form. Does that give you any confidence?
