John Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Feel a little better about things, Kean said he is going to work on things on the training ground.

broadsword Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Feel a little better about things, Kean said he is going to work on things on the training ground. same old soundbites. if we got points for spin and nonsense, we'd have qualified for europe by now.

I take it you're being sarcy despite the absence of an emoticon? I would suggest he cuts the grass and paints the goalposts but he'd only mess it up
RevidgeBlue Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Has betting been suspended on the next manager to go as i cannot find it anywhere. Ive looked on Skybet, Paddypower and Victor Chandler At the time you posted I presume Arsenal were playing Liverpool and outright betting on the PL or next manager to leave etc is always suspended when matches are in progress.
John Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Yes, I was being sarcastic.... For what it's worth, I have been fed up with Kean for a couple of months now - the man is a fake and is taking the **** with some of his comments. Because his agent is Venky's main football adviser he will know exactly what they are thinking too. Well you got the job you wanted, thanks for ruining our football club.
92er Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I wouldn't sack Kean-I would like to put him on gardening leave for the next 2 years or so. I have also been thinking about the logistics of the Rao family actually sacking him. John Williams can't do it as he's no longer there. Should they appoint Agnew so he can sack him? Should they summon him to Pune so they can sack him there? Should they ring him and do a conference call to sack him? It really shows the mess we're in.
AggyBlue Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 To be fair I did say "who of any calibre". I'm quite sure we could tempt say Bryan Robson out of the Pub for another crack of management but that would have only one likely outcome as well. Bad taste. I think he's got his hands full at the moment with his cancer treatment Rev.
BangkokRover Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Bad taste. I think he's got his hands full at the moment with his cancer treatment Rev. He is still the current manager of Thailand and not doing a good job if I am honest. But if he turned up with his mate El Tel I would be very happy.
John Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Why does Kean feel the need to state, every time he speaks to the press, that the squad are together? "We'll just pick ourselves up and work in training on the bits of the second half which we weren't happy with, but we were excellent in the first half. "We've got a really good group, there are no factions or any chance of it splintering in any way - they are very together."
philipl Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 The second half against Everton just showed Kean is incapable of motivating the players and in fact that his failure is so abject, he is demotivating the players.
Mattyblue Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 He says 'group' every time he speaks, it grates on me as much as W-Ince's 'ya knows'.
Bobby G Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Has any Rovers manager been HATED this much by fans?
Mattyblue Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Allardyce? On Kean, I just feel so helpless, he aint going anywhere, in the past once we had reached the point of no return- ie Ince at Wigan, we knew something would be afoot, now we are drving off a cliff with Keano having locked us in.
Guest linganzi Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 He spouts clueless rhetoric but at least he isn't holloway. More people are seeing his true colours
Bobby G Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 If thats the case people would have said the same thing about Coyle if he didnt jump a sinking ship last season. Blackpool have the worst squad int he PL. Yet they are still in with a chance of survival.
Guest linganzi Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Coyle never resorted to such cheap shots, neither is puppet kean
Kamy100 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 A lot of the match reports in the papers today are scathing of Kean, mainly his comments after the game in which he said that Rovers had been "excellent" in the first half are being picked on by the journalists. He is completely out of his depth and does not have the necessary experience to deal with this kind of situation. Unfortunately everyone apart from the Owners who seem to be living in some kind of Kean induced bubble can see how this is going to end if Kean remains in charge.
brian_gallagher85 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Yeah, such a shame for Blackpool that they found a manager who took them from the footballing wilderness to the promised land while playing some brilliant football to boot. Thank the Lord we have Kean....
LeChuck Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Could someone forward the results of this poll onto the club? 93% is very resounding. At the very least could it be forwarded to the LET - would they make a story of it? I don't know what their agenda is regarding the situation though, maybe they don't want to rock the boat. Any Rovers fan working there should have a moral obligation to use their power to convey the fans' feelings though.
Mattyblue Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Or say that just TWO per cent want to keep the 'manager'.
