  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Recommended Posts

just watched barry white on the link, hes delusional ..WE ARE NOT HUMBLE ,WE ARE FANATICAL FANS NOT HUMBLE FFS AND WE ARE GOING TO FINISH 8TH NEXT YEAR IN THE PREM...they need to play that clip with verves ,the drugs dont work!

Describing us as "humble" was intended as a compliment abs. It's completely unfair to criticise them for that.

That said everything else about the clip was a perfect example of why it would have been better to say nothing at this stage.

It still seems to me that they are well meaning but completely naive as to PR matters. Even little things like the way they dressed for that interview aren't helping them. It might be completely appropriate for the climate out there and de rigeur fashion back home but for an interview to be broadcast over here where a business person would typically be attired in a more sober fashion it doesn't add to credibility. Surprised they haven't been advised accordingly.

The Venky's supposedly remain fully supportive of Kean and insistant that he will be in charge at the start of next season! How can they possibly say that at this time? Kean must be the only manager in the league judged by something other than performances, results and placings.

As this obviously defies established footballing logic, what possibly can be the reasons for this stance?

How are they rating or judging Kean? What is his remit?

A yes man, a figurehead only, applying the owners preferences for selection and formations?

Are they bonkers? Or just footballing simpletons?

Clearly it has nothing to do with evaluating his abilities as a professional football manager, employed to get results, entertain the fans and improve the squad.

Interesting that the Venky's state categorically Kean will remain in charge. Once the wrath of the Blackburn community starts flowing and lands on them from a great height, let us see just how committed to Steve (zero qualifications) Kean they actually are.

If we go down, he'll be gone.

Whether he should be gone now is a different question but given the limited timeframe and possible reluctance of anyone decent to come on board at this stage that decision is possibly not as clear cut as it seems.

It would have been better imo to say nothing but given they have elected to say something, they have to come out in support of Kean, they can't say anything else really.

Why ? Kean will be the perfect spokesman for Venkys as they sell off and cash in on our crown jewels. Only when they cant get away with it any further will they probably cut Kean off, but by then though it will be too late for the club.

That interivew shows howe smart Kean is, he told them everything they needed to hear where as Sam told it as it is. They want pure optimistism whether the manager is good enough or not.

Kean has gone from a nobody First Team Coach to a PL Manager simply by taking advantage of a oppertunity impossible not to miss.

We have laready invest ha that made a big difference.

I'd have a lot of respect for that line if you hadn't directed such irrational hatred towards the last manager.

As it is that's a bit of a conceited thing to say. You're trying to place yourself morally above those who were against Kean from the start, which is in direct contrast to your behaviour when Sam was here.

Just admit that you only gave Kean more of a chance than the rest of us because he wasn't Sam Allardyce and we can all move on. :)

You've got to understand the feeling of relief I felt when Allardyce was sacked, I'd have given you a chance to manage the club LeChuck, and supported you because you’re the new manager of Blackburn Rovers, although I never agreed with the appointment, which some of you are saying I did.

Kean saw an opportunity and took it, like the poster said last night, which I happen to agree with, nothing more nothing less, you’d have done the same LeChuck.

Very bad interview to give at this stage, they are going to get slaughtered. They should have kept quiet,

Anybody now think the protests should be directed solely at Kean? This lot are going to finish us as a club regardless of which division we end up playing in next season! :glare:

The world is full of opportunists most of whom have no substance to back up their bravado. They all get found out sooner or later and Kean is a classic example.

Even more galling is he will walk away with £x millions when he gets his inevitable pay-off and will at least have ex-PL manager on his CV so he will probably walk into another job.

calm down.. deep breath... and think what else they can say...

did you expect them to say

"kean will be sacked at the end of the season ???????" :wstu:

they are trying to galvanise the club for the relegation fight.

IMO, the supporters HAVE to make Kean's position untenable.

That should start before the match, during the match and after the match.

The players will realise that it is not directed at them.

CHRIST! HOW MANY TIMES! HE'S NOT GOING TO QUIT AND HE'S NOT GOING TO GET SACKED

HERE'S AN IDEA... HOW ABOUT FOCUS YOUR EFFORT ON CHEERING THE TEAM ON!

staggering! :wstu:

There is another option - Don't say anything.

Waving that sign and caps does not make you right you know.

not saying it does... but how many times til the penny drops with the clowns ?

Pretty sure you come on just to argue, write in an aggravating manner and try and wind people up with your annoying smilies on every post!

I could agree with your viewpoint, but the annoying way you put it across would make me want to argue back.

I think if we get a battering on Monday night by City , and results go badly on Saturday , I cannot see anyway on earth that Kean can remain as the manager ..When the fans turn on him it could turn very very nasty ..He has been a lucky boy so far !!! Juniors equaliser against Blackpool , saved him a few weeks ago ..
