  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Recommended Posts

He is, but it's also unprofessional for a Premiership manager to speak to a fan of his own club like that.

Personally, if we were to somehow scrape survival this year, Kean would be out of the door quicker than what Samba will be.

He's already been given several months in a no-pressure environment (were comfortably mid-table, strong squad, content fans, backing of the board) where he's completely and utterly failed.

Why then give him longer to continue overseeing a massive nosedive for the club?

What makes anyone believe that he'll magically be able to organise and motivate a team to start picking up points?

The guy has a markedly worse record than Ince and his points-to-games ratio is staggeringly bad.

We'd be dead by Xmas next season if 1) we stay up and 2) he remains in charge.

Rallying call from the manager, good to hear, it should be taken on board by each and every Rovers fan, and put all the negativity and talk of protests to one side.

I agree for once.

I feel that it has finally sunk in with him how dangerous our situation is. At the very least he has admitted this and states that he has spoken about this with the players.

I agree, but its the players and manager who need to deliver the result on Monday. rovers fans will always support their team whoever the manager is.

I don't think he is the right manager at all for the club tho. but I will back the team and support them as Always!!!

Without doubt the response of the fans will all depend on how the game unfolds. To begin with I'm sure they will be behind the team. Here's hoping for a surprise win!

You do make me laugh Gav, you take this morally superior tone in your posts these days, when in the past you delighted in sticking the boot in.

No idea what you're on about Matty

Kean was quite right, the man is a donut

Well they do say it takes one to know one.

I don't think there was anything said that was not spot on. Kean is taking this club down and getting paid damn well for it. He is lucky he doesn't get asked far worse questions.

Still, the biggest idiots in the whole affair are not even on the same continent as Kean.

Was just about to post the same, he finally admits that we're in the brown stuff at least;

Speaking ahead of Monday's Ewood clash, Kean said: "If the crowd can really get behind us and see that from the first minute we are rolling our sleeves up and we are battling for our lives, then they can help turn Monday night into a an enjoyable one," said Kean.

I guess it's a start.

He's having a laugh !!!

Criticism is harsh - FFS, what planet is Kean from.

Looks like Andy Cryer will also have dropped-off Kean's Christmas card list.

How accommodating of Nicko - still spinning for his 'gem'.

I thank him for saying to Kean's face what 99% of us believe. A bit more of that and Kean might emerge from the delusional bubble he inhabits.

For example, on the real planet we didn't boss the first half against Everton given that it was 43 minutes before a Rovers player had the ball in their penalty area.

Nixon is, I suppose, your typical little gossip hack. the way he plays devils advocate with our feelings just to route out sources for ta is a disgrace.

It's not a two way street, he dines of information on here and in return we put dairy in him we wait up to hear news we already knew

He plays advocate with kean too, why ?

Move on Nixon, you are not in any way welcome

Best line of the whole thing

“I think the criticism has been harsh. There was little written or said when we got a point at Arsenal - it just came and went. “Then, the whole world is going to end because we have drawn a game."

Im sorry Steve, we haven't won in how long and we drew a game we really need to win to keep our heads above water. And diddums people have glossed over the arsenal results, under Hughes we were a top 8 side and consistantly got overlooked.
