  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Revidge- IMO one of the most balanced posters on here, nice to see people giving their opinions on a MB rather than following a herd of sheep.

Or translated------his opinions are much the same as your's.

47er- I disagree with a few points that Revidge has made but guess what it's his opinion and he has a right to them.

The number of posters trying to force feed opinions down your neck is increasing as well as some who don't read posts and will misquote at will lol.

But Sam had NO TRANSFER BUDGET___again!

6 million Kalinic

4 million Givet

1 million EHD

1.5 million Chimbonda

That looks like a transfer budget to me plus the huge wages of Salgado.

I agree, more negatives than positives but he has done some good. With regards to Ollson, that has on been the case because Givet has been out for various reasons. Kean would 110% play him on the wing.

We have cover for EHD, but i wouldn't have let him go full stop.

Agreed but Diouf is a d1ck he might be dangerous to have around without his adopted father Sam there, particularly if not playing

Catch 22

sold Sana Cruz 17 million............replaced with 6 million Kalinic...... minus 11 million

Sold Warnock 7 million.............replaced with 3.5 million Givet........minus 3.5 million

So far sam on a minus 14. 5 million

1 million EHD............Minus 13.5 million

1.5 Cimbonda............Minus 12 million

them were the major signings, Salgado wages, sure they don't compare to any of the top 8 teams, wages are mainly guess work.

Who had scored 5 goals and was ineffective in his final full season at Rovers. We did not miss RSC but wasted one of our biggest ever transfer fees on a player who could not play in the system that Sam wanted him to play him- Keans fault I guess lol.

Once again, as Jim has pointed out, he had a negative transfer budget financed out of sales. Don't you read other's posts? lol

The point is, my little Keanette, is that Sam was forced to ship out very good players and replace them with far less money than the club received. A recipe for relegation under most managers.

Do you want to discuss RSC's second reincarnation as a Rovers player ? Your hero wants to sign him permanently apparently.

Sold Santa Cruz who had scored 5 goals in the previous season and signed a striker who cannot play up front by himself for £6 million.

Bought Jacobsen- RB, then decided he wanted Salgado (~£40K a week) but wages needed to come down so sold Warnock to plug the hole and bought a THIRD right back to play at LEFT back   Warnock was never sold to be replaced by Givet. Givet was bought as a centre half who he then played at left back... phew.

How long did that take you create? :tu:

Sam wasted the little money that we had on mediocre players.

47er- If I was quoting someone then I would read have the post first  unlike some around here :P

At least I haven't lost the argument, can't think of anything sensible to say so resort to insults and invite the person I disagree with to leave the m/b.

It was not meant to come across as insulting - more that I cannot get my head round some of the view points (generally) being made at the moment.

Whether it is our former manager, who did an outstanding job in testing financial circumstances. Was he perfect, of course not, but no one is. I can see why fans dislike him (as a person) but I always ask the question, was he good for our football club? For me the answer is a resounding yes.

You only need to see the league table and our results since January to work out if Jerome Anderson's heavy involvement in the club is a positive thing - it is quite clear the SEM management duo of Kean/Jensen are not good enough at the moment. Who knows if they will significantly improve and help make our football club a very strong one.......sadly I am not an expert in looking into the future.

Anyway, it is match day, here's hoping for a draw/win.

Look back a page or 2, you'll read me pointing out that Sam had no transfer budget. Its round and round the roses with you (sorry to use a gardening cliche Rev!).

Salgado and Givet are mediocre ..... I don't think so. Kalinic can still come good.

Kean's wasted millions on 2 foreign lads who have contributed nothing so far and wasted a fortune on RSC's wages.

Your turn.

I can keep this discussion going on all day if you like. You won't win.

Yeah you're changing the topic from did he have a transfer budget, why, how and when.

Kalinic has flopped I'm not going to defend him, I agree with you.

Personally I think Warnock wanted to leave, he was just about getting in the England side and we have NO AMBITION under The Walkers Trust, I don't blame anyone for leaving.

but back to the orignal topic, I feel for Sam because Blackburn under The Walker Trust was a very difficult and frustrating club to manage.

What Hughes did was unbelieveable and I'm sure he was extremely frustrated at Blackburn.

I sense a shift since Venkys have come, although bit of a scary one, I want to see what happens in the summer.

Still making out you was a big Allardyce fan imy?

Also, can you explain why Rovere fans that are merely looking at the facts of the last few months are 'sheep'?

Let me clarify, use the quoting facility if you need to but I have liked Sam the man and was happy with the style of football as long as it kept us up, I felt that if we were going to spend money then we could do better- manager wise. I disagree with the timing of the sacking- said this day 1 and have continued to say so. Gave Kean a chance and feel he needs to go, said this after Fulham, still think that way.

My sheep comment was more frustration that anyone who comes across as 'balanced' IMO is bracketed as a Keanette or told to leave the MB- there seems to be a growing number who cannot accept the opinions of others. For example (sorry if it offends) I disagree with a number of things that Bucky has said but he has a right to say them and I agree with a few things too- not everything is black and white.

Did not realise that we win something on here- you have too much time on your hands.

so TWO pluses from FOURTEEN.

Keans signings have had FOUR months enough time to judge? Dont think so...

30-15, back to you

I did not mean to go of topic but you wrote which players replaced other ones so replied. I agree 100% with your last line.

It took you 15mins to post that .... well done.

I'm on the way to a football match in east London at present. Hopefully, the players will ignore your hero and have the nous to get a win or a draw at least.

I'll leave you to argue with yourself in ever decreasing circles until you disappear up your own derriere.

Game, set and match.

I was in the toilet! Lol! I'll try to be quicker next time.

Hope we get a result today, oh yeah Kean is not my hero I was saying he should be gone for months now but you obviously choose to ignore that. Finally is there any need to insult people when they disagree with you? We are all Rovers fans here, the point I was making earlier

Anybody think Kean has achieved any positive factors since taking over as manager of our club?

Personally, the following stand out for me:

The form of Hoillet and Ollson.

The "signing" of J.Jones.

The fact he signed a playmaker (something we have been crying out for since Hughes) even if we haven't seen him play.

His policy on signing youth.

He has realised Kalinic is on work experience.

That is all.

Can we also add to that - 'Found Pedersen out' also please

How people can make judgements on Formica & Rochina at this stage is ridiculous.

does that include yourself.? I mean, havent you been swinging from keans nutsack, regarding the transfer window

We had Samba and Nelsen at centre half, plus when we signed Givet Jones was emerging too, why spend 4 million on a player whose natural position is centre half? Givet is a solid pro but I would have preferred Sam plugged the gapin holes in midfield.

I am confused Greco- I know my daddy and Sam and Kean are not- wrong colour I'm afraid. But yeah Sam is the better manager.
