No s**t.

But don't worry, we've only been saying that for the past six months.

What next for Miseryman and the rest of the conspiracists?

I've never commented on this issue before and I've always assumed Kean had his badges. In the light of events though the question should not be whether Kean has his badges or not But"WHAT BLOODY USE ARE THEY?'

If they want a decent manager they should move for David Moyes.

Without a doubt Moyes is certainly well respected in footballing circles but I’m not convinced. His man management skills seems to be his greatest asset, but lets face facts here, he’s been at Everton for around 10yrs and I don’t think he’s won a thing has he? And he’s had money to spend from time to time.

That’s a poor return for me.

Moyes has worked wonders in finding the likes of Cahill, Arteta, Pienaar etc. But even they were many years ago, it's becoming increasingly harder to unearth gems like it was when Hughes was here.

I agree fully with that, but they're still out there LeChuck if you look hard enough.

Slightly different point but, someone was telling me the other day that Hernandez at Utd cost 6m, the same as Kalinic :o

Complete nonsense. Rafa bloody Benitez is a sham of a manager. Benitez nearly broke Liverpool with massive overspending and left them with an average squad bereft of confidence and belief. He clung onto the signing of Torres as if it were a masterstroke... it was of course but it was his only one amongst a welter of mistakes. The man is not for the Premier League much less a Premier League minnow.

After 6 years in charge at Liverpool, his net spend was roughly £13million per season.

In 6 years, his net spend was £78million. Torres was then sold for £50 million after he had left.

His CV speaks for himself. You don't win the Champions League, La liga and the FA Cup if you're a sham of a manager. He got Liverpool to their closest ever title challenge and I think were only 4 points short.

Just take a look at his CV thenodrog. It was Hicks and Co that broke Liverpool, not Benitez.

He'd be a fantastic manager for Blackburn Rovers and many would agree with that.

Mercerman- there is your proof or do you want to see his passport too? Lol

How long has the Irish poet been working at the FA !?!?!?

Absolutely spot on blue n white Rover, whilst people may not like Benitez for various reasons, anyone who calls him a ‘sham’ manager clearly doesn’t have a clue, but you've now educated them with facts :tu:

How many decent players did he leave behind, other than Torres and Gerrard?

He was forced to sell players and replace them with rubbish Bryan, I was shocked when I saw the balance sheet recently.

Which ones? I can only think of one decent player he was forced to sell.

If anything it's further proof that he wouldn't be a success here, if he could only buy "rubbish" with a restricted budget.

He turned up at Inter, and within four months said that they needed some money for new players. This is teh current European champions, by the way.

He loves to spend money and his transfer record is mixed. he would be a disaster here. Plus he's a whiny little bitch.

The squad Kenny is dealing with now is very much Benitez' squad barr Suarez and Caroll.

Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Lucas and Kuyt. That's 6 of Liverpool's key players. Add to that Gerrard and Carragher and 8 of 11 are the players Rafa left behind.

Rodriguez may have also been a Rafa signing, not 100% sure. Spearing and Kelly have come through the reserves so I guess he can't take credit for that.

Benitez in his final few months was forced to only deal with Pompey and Roma as Liverpool had no money and were owed by them 2 clubs due to the sales of Crouch and Riise.

That led to the signing of Aqualani and Johnson. There's a lot more to it than just that, and I won't go into it as I'd rather keep what I've been told confidential.

Rafael Benitez would be a fantastic manager for Blackburn Rovers. Fact. ;)

I doubt very much he'll be coming here Bryan, but the guys record is fantastic, nobody can deny that.

As for players sold and bought, I think the main point is that the money he raised from sales of quality players didn’t find its way back into the transfer kitty, most went to service the debt.

How long did you spend on google to find that Mercerman?!lol. Still have doubts?

There is a cultural side to my life !!! Ireland has produced several great authors, poets.

The FA are not infallible nor are the PL and I've seen people found out in many organisations who are seemingly appropriately qualified and then it turns out they aren't.

For Rovers' sake, I hope that Kean is, but, like others, find it staggering that nowhere officially can we see him listed as having the Pro License. As Kelbo said, even the Scottish FA, where he supposedly got his qualification, can't or wont confirm.

If he hasn't, it will get washed-up on the shore eventually.

We can't afford to buy quality players like that, so why do we pay our players nearly as much in wages?

Precisely. I've banged on about transfer fees being history since FOC came in. The issue now has moved from transfer fees to signing on fees, agents fees and wages. It's massively unhealthy for football of course but who cares about that amongst the movers and shakers? Point being that where we once couldn't compete with the big clubs with transfer fees now we are struggling to compete with signing on fees and wages. It's dog eat dog and we are a small dog.

Can you possibly make a post without insulting someone?

Cos his brain is the size of a planet and probably bigger than his head too I agree that TGM's insults are too frequent and mostly unmerited and that face to face he'd back down quicker than an average Italian squaddie but in this case given the nature of the original insult I'd say the comment was valid.

So if you recognise that then why are you so quick to discredit the last manager for keeping us mid table in the face of such miserably LOW investment?

didnt discredit him for keeping us in the league

mark hughes suffered from similar financial restraints and keep up challenging for the top 10 and playing better football.

its sam's style that i had an issue with. and im not going over old ground again.. to satisfy your need for an argument

ask inter fans... messed them up. with the same squad, a title winning and european cup winning one, his clueless tactics lost the dressing room and the fans. when i watched them it was hard to believe what they had become.

I DONT WANT HIM AT ROVERS... ESPECIALLY WITH MONEY.. COS HE'D WASTE IT! HIS PLAYING STYLE IS DULL TOO.... ASK ANY LIVERPOOL SEASON TICKET HOLDER.

Shocked Gav? Surely not. Here's something that will shock you even more if you've heard of them that is... Obertan, Bebe and Hargreaves. Even Fergy cocks up at times but then he can afford to can't he?

You really don't have a clue do you?

Inter sold Balotelli for £30million, was that money re-invested? No.

Inter president is the one that forced out Rafa, he wasn't too far behind in the league either. They had several games in hand due to their involvement in the Super Cup. The fans at Inter backed him all along, banners were placed at the San Siro "for" him, not "against". Don't make assumptions up to what you hear in the media. Open your eyes a little.

Rafael Benitez is very highly thought of in Liverpool, there was nothing wrong with his playing style. You don't score 4 past United at OT if you play dull football. You don't win the Champions League if you play dull football.

Clueless.
