The man is an idiot, one of the most selfish acts a person can do is drink drive. I could perhaps understand it from a 20year old player but from the manager, how the hell is supposed to be a role model now.

Couldnt care less if we had no one in charge the man should be summerily dismissed for bringing the club into disrepute without payoff.

Whilst i don't condone the DD, how many players would be out of a job if they has all been binned for similar offences?.

If he personally employs a chauffeur to carry on his duties I don't see how they can sack him.

Fair enough the media coverage and damage it does short term to the club is not needed, he's not the first manager and won't be the last to be caught DD.

Correct.

I've worked in a job where part of my role was to scrape the remnants of people who'd been knocked over by people like Kean - I don't care if a drunk driver harms themselves, but all too often they end up smashing into an innocent family's car or driving straight over a child and it's something I find completely unforgiveable in today's society.

I may be wrong but I think alcohol is a big no-no in a Muslim society, so this could well be a major issue for Venky's to deal with.

what a complete knob jock... pun intended...

sack him now... with immediate effect... we don't need him, we could still go down if we win I think even if we can't or don't we don't need this pig ###### anymore...

this just gives venkys the opportunity they were probably looking for after they said he's job is safe... then realised ######...

I was reading another Rovers forum and someone said this isn't the first time a Rovers manager has done something like this. Just curious if anyone can remember who it was (if the person on this forum is correct) and what happened as a result, was the manager sacked?

It must have been well before my time.

What's Venky's and Muslim got to do with it. You have obviously not read about the Raos parties in Pune. Their Hindu by the way.

Agree with the principals of your post but note, Venkys are Hindu, not Muslim.

I have alluded to this before in previous posts but nobody has picked up my point and pushed me for more (possibly coz i'm a nob).

My posts regarding the manager have been condemning, mocking and maybe abusive at times, but I have my reasons and perhaps know more than some about how the man operates.

Venkys really could not have done more to get us relegated and continuation with this manager will result in the ruination of the club, rest assured.

:wstu:

you really are a plank arent ya.. ?

twisting a thing like this to suit your vendetta. come on lad!

you knew kean was a drink driver did ya? .. whats his favourite tipple ?

seriously.. rather than allude.. post something of fact.. i'll have it checked out ;)

kean's been a moron.. doubt he will have been blind drunk.. but drink driving cant be defended, in any way whatsoever.

im waiting for a... fergie may have spiked his drink post.

Aren't Venky's Hindus?

I am sorry but everything about Steve Kean really comes over as being not right. At least the compo will be lessened when he goes because of this. Chauffeur2go will have got a new client for a while.

The main family are Hindu.

Fair enough, forgive my ignorance.

My point stands on drink driving though - completely unforgiveable in today's society, regardless of who the person is.

An absolute disgrace.

Should be instant dismissal for gross misconduct.

Like to see him spin his way out of this one - bet he cr@pped himself.

Get rid of the 'hard working, thinking and nice man' without spending a penny. Clearly, thinks very little about the safety of other road users.

A few years ago I lost a very close friend because someone decided to drink and drive. Drink Driving ruins lives and is a very selfish act, I have zero tolerance on this issue.

me too, kamy. no defence for the man. he wont be sacked.. (whether thats right or wrong...)

Its actually time football made an example of people like Kean. As another poster said they would lose their job over such an act of stupidity so why should football be any different. Blackburn Rovers are known as a family club and this is the worst piece of bad PR since Venkys took over to tarnish that image. I almost don't want to say it but in a PR sense this could redeem Venkys image in the eyes of the national media if they act swiftly and positively to condem such idiotic behaviour from the man who is the most public face of the club.

I hope the LT jump on this because if I remember rightly one of their campaigns was to bring to light the consequences of youngsters in our local area doing silly things in their cars and having accidents, this is a grown man who is in charge of the local football team which is one of the positives about our local area.
