I'd personally wait til after the final game, if only to keep the continuity there for the final game. Last thing we need is the upheaval of removing the manager with the biggest game we've had in SO long. Especially when the players seem to WANT to play for him. Removing him might send moral soaring amongst the fans, but not necessarily the players. Wait til the court hearing and whatnot, THEN get rid of the idiot!

I hope the LT jump on this because if I remember rightly one of their campaigns was to bring to light the consequences of youngsters in our local area doing silly things in their cars and having accidents, this is a grown man who is in charge of the local football team which is one of the positives about our local area.

Somebody better phone Cryer then and let him know what's going-on !

Its actually time football made an example of people like Kean. As another poster said they would lose their job over such an act of stupidity so why should football be any different. Blackburn Rovers are known as a family club and this is the worst piece of bad PR since Venkys took over to tarnish that image. I almost don't want to say it but in a PR sense this could redeem Venkys image in the eyes of the national media if they act swiftly and positively to condem such idiotic behaviour from the man who is the most public face of the club.

I certainly wont be defending his actions, and agree with your post doubt the Lawyers for either side will find it so cut and dry as some hope for.

This is true, he has only been charged with drink driving so its currently 'allegedly' wonder if he'll hire Nick Freeman to find a loophole in procedure.

Looks like Plunkett's on the case:

http://twitter.com/#!/PaulPlunkettLT

seriously plunkett knows nothing about football. he used to work for a local paper.. the rossendale free press... and i had the misfortune of being in his company a number of times. the least funny scouser i have ever met!

if you dont believe me about his football knowledge.. just listen to the terrible lancs telegraph football podcast (if its still going. i gave it 3 episodes and gave up to it.. very poor!

They are advertising for a new sports editor at the LT, so you many have a point!

If we lose he better not be positive lol

"we are disappointed to get relegated after 6 positive results in 10 games."

"I'm disappointed the season has ended in relegation. Its interrupted an outstanding sequence of positive results for us. Hic!"

I'm sure he does. I'm sure he also understands that if you bet on an outsider in the Grand National it could win. But it's very unlikely.

Bet £10 on us to draw and get relegated. I'm sure the £600+ winnings you would receive would take the edge off.

It might take the edge off for you. It would not come close to it for me.

It would be £2555 not £600.

I'm not going to bet though. I have never made a bet that I thought I wouldn't win.

As if I care how much it is. I'd happily pay double if Rovers safety could be guaranteed.( Couldn't afford it of course! It would be a plastic card job.)

Somebody wrote in the other thread "Kean's innocent until proven guilty" and said somethng about waiting for the results of the blood test.

For confirmation - he blew a positive breath sample, meaning the alcohol in his breath was over the legal limit.

This means he is instantly guilty, there's no two ways about it - hence why he was charged the next morning.

His appearance in court in June will be to take his punishment of points/fine/ban.

A blood test would only be taken if a breath test was not possible and/or refused.

I wonder why he was stopped in the first place. Possibly irratic driving, but you'd be surprised the amount of anonymous calls go in to the police when they know that somebody is irresponsibly getting into a vehicle after having too much to drink.

Final straw. Must be sacked whatever happens on Sunday despite showing signs of not being a complete muppet with regard to football tactics (though it's long way to tactical supremo from frequent bouts of muppet-ness).

This and Myles Andreson are two gross misjudgments to go with his less than stellar record. It doesn't matter if it was merely half a glass too much with Sir Alex and/or if he was 1% over the limit. He should have phoned his mate and got a cab.

Much as I'm sure there are those at the club less than enamoured with his appointment, he's been given every chance to make a fist of things.
