John Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Should that be seven positive results? Seven positive results and counting.....imagine how many positve results we could have had if Kean was manager for the whole season.

Ripleys love child Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 We just av to keep chip chip chipping away and we'll be ok. Wot a bean head
Kelbo Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 1) Kean hasn't done that deliberately - he has done the job to the best of his ability. 2) There is no suggestion there is anything illegal or dodgy whatsoever about signing Myles Anderson. To say Kean has brought the Club into disrepute on that basis is complete nonsense. So a player as an overage under 19 player in Scotlands reserve league who looks out of his depth, is good enough for Premiership club? Come on, I'll have a pint of what you and Kean have been drinking!! Come on then, who bubbled him ?? He rang the Police himself when Mrs D told him he had to get three points this week or he'd be sacked
chris Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Probably still 7. The man is a joke. Birmingham have had 23 positive results this season and Liverpool in 6th have had 24 positive results So Birmingham have done bloody well this season maybe next season they can push top 4
Guest roverite1991 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 You would think that the law will appropriately deal with this. And maybe a fine by the club if they see fit. I'm not sure anymore needs to be done. As much as I detest drink-drivers, as it is a stupid, stupid thing to do, it shouldn;t affect your job status unless it affects your ability to do that job.
Mercer Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 If correct, then very interesting ! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1388112/Blackburn-owners-demand-Steve-Kean-attend-monthly-meeting-India.html He's either in the deep proverbial or our owners, IMO, are totally naive and clueless given they only saw him a week ago and with what's coming-up on Sunday. I'm going for the former.
jim mk2 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Steve McClaren has been lined up for a "shock return" to Premier League football with Blackburn Rovers according to that font of all knowledge, the Daily Star.
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Fans will be concerned that the manager has been unable to work with his players as they prepare for Sunday’s clash against Wolves. I wouldn't be so sure about this line "Sportsmail Reporter"!
yeti-dog Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Typical non-story masquerading as something of substance...
Paul Mellelieu Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Steve McClaren has been lined up for a "shock return" to Premier League football with Blackburn Rovers according to that font of all knowledge, the Daily Star. Looking forward to McClaren adopting a Blackburn accent in the manner of his infamous interview with Dutch TV when managing in Holland.
tonygreenbank Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Should that be seven positive results? [ He`s bound to keep us up now with those three extra points!

I'd have said "anyone who doesn't think the signing of Myles Anderson isn't dodgy and hasn't brught the club into disrepute is completely deluded". Please explain to how this signing could possibly be merit-based.
RevidgeBlue Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Rev -----I just can't follow your logic here. I'd have said "anyone who doesn't think the signing of Myles Anderson isn't dodgy and hasn't brught the club into disrepute is completely deluded". Please explain to how this signing could possibly be merit-based. I'm not saying I think it's a good signing, I'm just saying there's no evidence it is anything other than completely legal and above board. As in complying with all relevant legislation. So in my view it is completely OTT to say it brings the Club into disrepute.
RevidgeBlue Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 If correct, then very interesting ! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1388112/Blackburn-owners-demand-Steve-Kean-attend-monthly-meeting-India.html Wakey wakey Mail boys! These meetings have been going on for months! Plus, I thought the meeting took place a week ago following the West Ham game! They're not the brightest are they? And they really don't like us although I haven't figured out why yet. It's been going on with them since Ince came to the Club. Steve McClaren has been lined up for a "shock return" to Premier League football with Blackburn Rovers according to that font of all knowledge, the Daily Star. Do they not know Rafa has already signed a pre contract agreement with us!

RevidgeBlue Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/191488/Steve-McLaren-s-Rovers-return/ What a load of rubbish. Starsport "understands" Kean "could be sacked" and that "would leave the way open" for McClaren to return to Club management. Who wrote that piece? His agent? Nice bazookas on BIkini Babe though!
BangkokRover Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Normally I would think that anyone would be better than Kean the Klown but the Wally with the Brolly??? Maybe some of the Dutch Rovers fans could tell us how well he did in NL. Yes he won the league but was that down to him or the players?
Kamy100 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 The LT are also running the Kean going to India meeting, it was a pre-arranged meeting and not because of the drink driving charge. Why he had to go out during this crucial week is beyond me, could they have not talked to him last week when they were over? Or waited till next week? Anyhow the LT are also leading with Venky's are looking to buy Gary Neville's mansion for £6 million, if true that would suggest that they are in this for the long haul,

As in complying with all relevant legislation. So in my view it is completely OTT to say it brings the Club into disrepute. I've never argued about whether it is a legal transfer or not. I don't know. My point is that it brings the club into disrepute because the manager has signed his agent's son without apparently any logical motivation other than to do him a favour. Nothing--I repeat nothing appears to justify this transfer from the lad's CV.The lad has made no impression in Scottish football. This leaves us open to accusations of corruption and nepotism and brings the club into disrepute because it shows us as being clearly run by idiots. Just to say "I'm not saying I think its a good signing' does not anywhere near cut it. (I've tried to be careful with the way I've expressed things Mods, hope I was careful enough.)

I remember what I felt when we signed Julio Santa Cruz. I thought we were being pragmatic. I didn't know JW had brought the club into disrepute through nepotism. Thanks for enlightening me.
