  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Recommended Posts

Jesus H Christ..

...this messageboard goes on a constant loop of Kean is sh*t. Allardyce would have had us safe by now, shall we chant for the players but not the manager. It's like a remake of Groundhog day only much, much shi**er.

Support your team, make those Blackpool players want to get back to the safety of the changing rooms as soon as they got on the pitch. This game is massive! 3 points here and we get some momentum going again..this is our cup final ffs.

Save the recriminations for summer.I really don't care if Sam would have had us safe by now..we'll never know will we. This feeds into the 'I told you so's' being more interested in swinging their d**ks than focussing on what's really important.

Enough.

Top post Yeti! :tu:

Isn't it just re-iterating/expanding my comments from earlier about Keane being a none entity untill the end of the season?

Agree good post yd (think people must have missed my commments earlier)

As you say too much looping going on.

Whatever the rights or wrongs is just all about 3 pts this Saturday by any means

It was always easy for me. You hated him and no amount of success he had could change that. You're happy to see us relegated and travelling round rusty old grounds allover the country rather than see us in the top half of the Premiership under Sam.

You're like a dog with a bone following me around the site.

You’ll be sorry if I put you on ignore, so behave please or face the consiquences :D

Possibly a symptom of people being bloody anxious about Saturday.

It's a very difficult game to call, I can envisage us winning, but the last few months have badly shaken my faith. I can just as easily see us drawing or losing. Not to mention that even a win would put us (quite possibly) six points from safety with a harsh run-in. The club's future is on a knife-edge.

So the trash-talking and the paraphrasing of previous concerns and the Kean-bashing are going to go on a few days yet.

GAV, putting you head in the sand over the consequences of sacking Sam (which you were warned about) and the conseqeunces for Rovers of impending relegation doesn't do you any credit.

Time to wake up to reality.

Listening to the Times podcast yesterday and they were pretty sure we were on the way down. No goalscoring threat, poor defence, terrible away record and a poor manager. A pretty accurate assessment of things IMO.

They didn't even mention the fact we have clueless owners and a shocking midfield.

Sad thing is, a decent manager could override all the other negative, and we had one who was doing a bloody good job of it until Dev and Sunita fired him...

We only need a couple of wins and a couple of draws. For me we are basically depending on the defence shoring up, and Cruz and Dunn finding some form.Kean can heavily influence the former by drilling the team better and lifting spirits. The latter is not really something in his domain of direct control.

And I personally think we have an okay midfield if we start Junior, Olsson and Dunn.

Is Dunn not broken?

The defence was shored up reasonably enough before xmas. It's fallen apart with since Judas took over. We'll have to rely on the players to sort it between themselves. Sad to say, I don't hold out too much hope unless Jones comes back and gets into real form. I'll give you Junior and Olsson, not sure Dunn will offer much.

I'm from Blackburn and started going when I was 5, in 1987. Think I know enough to know a mess when I see one. I saw one in 1999, I think this ones worse. Jack won't be here to hold our hand this time. The chicken farmers and Judas will pillage us... Gotta hope the players can get it together enough to get us out of this and that Kean can at least pick a decent first 11 and stick with it.

I wasn't having a pop, you just spoke about the team in such a contemptuos manner. I understand your concerns, it just seems an odd way to "support" your team. I've been going since I was 8 back in 71, so, trust me you aint on your own in seeing the club in a mess :tu:

You're having a laugh Bish, the defence has been awful all season, be it Allardyce or Kean in charge, they’ve not looked like a unit since the back end of last season.

Hero after the Liverpool game and now a Judas with not one shred of evidence to back it up.

Hero after beating one of the poorest form teams in the league (at that time?) I doubt it.

Judas is a bit of a stretch though, i'll agree to that. Rubbish? Yes. Judas? Not really.

Behave GAV! I'll grant you a lot of time away from home it was shocking,, however at Ewood we were as solid as ever, more than enough points were being gathered.

The away form under Sam is a real bugbear of yours, mine an all, I went to enough of them, felt like throwing money down the toilet half the time,, however I saw the big picture, I just can't understand why you couldn't (apart from a dislike of the man)

A bit of patience was the key. Nothing ever improves dramatically from December onwards. Sam should have been given a bit of money and to the end of the season where despite the quality of football we would have finished somewhere between 8th and 13 th , then they could have paid Sam off, there would have been a blank canvas with a a full pre season to temp a decent manager and players to a club in a respectful position. Our new owners would have been able to sit back and learn a bit about the club and the league without the sort of concern they have now. Without bring badly advised , the money paying off Anderson could have been better spent. Should the club survive then if they have it its going to take a lot of money to repair it.

Behave GAV!

Read my post man, I'm not talking about points gained, away form etc, I’m talking about the defence being shambolic, we’ve moved on Matty.

By the way, anyone who believes the defence has not gone backwards since the end of last season simply doesn’t watch games I’m afraid.
