  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Recommended Posts

Any information I have I simply do not post on here anymore, there is really no point, always the clowns who want to rip things to pieces, I know of others who no longer share things for exactly the same reason.

Oh Cruz and another one (of course, must have an "agenda")....

Not one for gloating, just think (recently) some people need a reality check - don't worry I will give it a rest, not because you asked me to though.

Kelbo, the insights that people like Philipl, BPF and yourself bring along are, IMO, valued by the majority on this MB. Unfortunately, there will always be some dissenting voices who spoil it for the rest. The cynicism, and occasional venom, of some never ceases to amaze me.

I don't think anybody is knocking the people with genuine information at all. I think its always widely appreciated. So much so that other people try to emulate such posts and posters to get the same level of thanks and following. Herein lies the problem. Its those no good dirty liars which spoil the fun for everyone else! So many come out of the word work its hardly surprising some folk get sick of it.

For those, there is the ignore option.

Quite true, however, their constant 'knocking' will eventually put those contributors off who might just have something of interest and value to share - as Kelbo has referred to above.

to add to this I personally think that everyone thought the sacking of Sam and JW was extremely possible.

but It's other rumours like Chris Boyd signing for example, where inside information gossip is presented as FACT.

I doubt Venky's knows what they are going to do next let alone anyone else.

The only fact I need to know in relation to Steven Kean is 19 points in 20 matches. Conclusion: He's not good enough.

Venkys should consider that incontrovertible fact in making its decisions.

It is unnecessary to resolve questions as to his character, ranging from [allegedly] backstabbing snake to [allegedly] diamond in the rough, if he can't collect the points.

put them off posting value and interesting things to share.. no it wont!

their ego will take over and theyll say,,, "i have heard it on good authority that...."

id like to know what value and interesting things BPF has shared with us all, cos i havent seen it.

things he has shared have been ALL negative as far as i have read.

now.. im asking him again re kean being unsackable and the 3rd rao brother.. to PM his source and i will check discreatly.

i here things from certain people.. i have certain connections.. for reasons i cant go into on here, so i will check it.

im not important or an egotist though.. and i keep most things to myself.

but i will pass on info that i here that is valuable and of interest to share.. i promise.

This post is highly ironic given there are many of us who don't bother so much now because of the constant sniping, negativity and hypocrisy posted all the time - especially when more balanced posters get stick for trying to maintain objectivity.

Steve Kean has said at his pre-match press conference that after the talks in India this week, he will have a healthy transfer budget, targeting a top 10 finish in the Premier League.

Fingers crossed we're still in the league then. However, I would be surprised if they would trust him with their money given the results we've had since he took over

we gone from top 8 to top 10 in three weeks, I canlt wait for the summer (if we stay up) and actually see what we really spend.

Big deal. I thought the owners said they were targetting a top five finish this season ?

And shouldn't Kean be keeping quiet until safety is secured on Sunday ?

I would also remind the owners that the previous manager had a top-ten finish with very little net spend.

That’s rich coming from someone who’s contributions since joining the site have done nothing but set hares running in all directions with lye after lye mercerman. Whilst I have some respect for the other posters you mention, you I’m afraid I have none.

“Hoilett faking injury due to his impending move just down the road” being a good example of many I could post

As for people like Philipl, BPF and Kelbo, if they post rumour and speculation I have nothing against that, but in some cases its starting to come across as a little patronising from time to time, and I can see why a few are getting annoyed.

Some posters claim to have vital information about the future of the club, yet can’t break news about impending bung cases, new board members, new assistant managers and run of the mill stuff like that, even I was aware of the Givet stuff, and I know nobody in media or Rovers circles.

So lets have a little perspective should we.

Sometimes, when something ain't broke it's best not to fix it.

You may find it was broke Jim, lets wait and see should we.... :tu:

I wouldn't RTH.

The worst thing they could do with a big transfer budget, is give it to Kean.

Why?

Jones has been awesome. Formica and Rochina look like they will be real players next season.

Roque has been poor but he was always worth a shout as he actually wanted to come back.

I'm not saying he will do as well as Hughes but he didn't do bad considering January is known as an awful time to make signings.

Why wouldn't I give it to Kean? Just in case you've missed it Bucky, he's taken us to the edge of relegation. I fear if he's here next season we wont be so lucky.

It's not so much what he spends the money on I'm concerned about (January window he did OK I think, most people were happy with Roque at the time), it's what he does with the new toys when he gets them. Still, it sounds like a vote of confidence if we do survive.

I'd prefer Venky's & Kean were singularly focussed on this week to be honest, contingency plan asides.

No agenda though, speak to most people in football and they would agree

Just that we know all that. The club is a mess, the manager is a novice, the owners are distant and without direction etc etc.

It would be good to read something we didn't know rather than a rehash story every other month stating the bleeding obvious, that's all

Sounds like expensive regression !

Weren't we already top ten and wasn't the avowed intent to push-on for top five ?
