  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Positive, you called him something like a useless American signing and we should have signed someone else. (it was when you were campaigning for us to sign a different player.)

Do you know who this other player was ?

Credit where it is due. I wasn't pro kean but for me he has proved his worth when it has really mattered. Tactics spot on for the last few games. Also nice gesture from venkeys with the vouchers, shame the queues were so big at wolves I never used them!!! Premier league again COYB!

It was Mercerman who repeatedly criticised the signing of J Jones not JAL as far as I recall

Cheers TCO, certainly dont remember criticising J.Jones, but yes, certainly campaigned for Joey Barton to come to Ewood Park and still would have him here along with Jermaine Jones. The clubs got to have better options than Grella and Andrews.

We were absolutely superb in the first half. We palyed some excellent football and tore into a side that was fighting for it's life, at home, being roared on by a passionate crowd and in form. Churlish in the extreme to criticise. Sadly, no surprise that some are doing exactly that.

Oh yes a football match is 45 minutes long. Great first half and then Wolves battered us and really should have drawn at a minimum.

All the signs are that the players like Kean and are playing for him. But then you know that.

What are these magical signs you all keep on about? I see as many incidents that would imply they don't respect him.

Would you ignore the orders of a man you respect?

Samba and olsson have.

I dont want him here as manager next season by the way.

You are clearly gutted (like all those that I have on ignore)

Go and have a lie down.

Thanks for the advice, obviously I am extremely gutted we didn't get relegted as I've spent my life supporting this club. Every day I wake up and pray we end up in administration with billions owed, I long for the day our club closes and we all have to go support accy.

Just because I have different viewpoint to you makes me no less a fan. It's not my problem you live in a black and white world.

Take your own advice and come back when you realise people are different and that's a good thing.

Interesting that for Kean we must look at the full picture and include any settling in period for a rookie, but for Nico, you were happy to ignore his first one and a half seasons because he was a rookine settling in, and keep trumpeting 4 in 6 games. Of course, his 7 in 44 games is the yardstick that will be used, thank goodness.

Anyway, back to your man-crush on Sam...

I just knew you'd be back in spades if we stayed up! Get some perspective. Its been a awful season no matter how you dress it up.

I agree bucky its difficult to think of someone in our league who I want.

We'll have the same old names rolled out like jol but I'm just not inspired by anyone we can realisticly attract.

Theses always the outside hope that someone like raffa or carlo will take the job because they want to manage in the premiership but its a slim chance.

The dream for me is that venkys make good on the promise of money and we can bring in someone decent. If i'm dreaming I may as well go all the way, hughes is the man i'd love here again.

Maybe the sites taking over your life again?

It has been an awful season but you cant but it all down to keen.

I think salgardo's recent comments are telling about how the take over and all the big names linked were distracting.

There have been major changes at the club and we could easily have let heads go down and slipped into the championship.

Considering it was his first job keen has actually done okay to keep it together and keep us up.

I've got no problem with differing viewpoints, there wouldn't be any point having this forum if they didn't exist. Having a differing viewpoint has been really difficult on here of late due to the hysteria and mob mentality.

I dont live in a black and white world which is why I can see positives in Kean and Venkys even though I have been bewildered and worried by them and want a new manager. There are a few like that still posting but more often than not find themselves screamed down by the conspiracy theorists, nutters and those that have bought into the mob mentality so stridently that they have painted themselves into a corner.

As for the match, surely you didn't expect Wolves not to come back and throw the kitchen sink at us? We withstood it, we won and like it or lump it, we were superb.

So the players were distracted by Beckham and the such being linked????

What a load of tosh, did our form drop when we were linked to Ruud and Becks, Raul & Guti, under Sam??? No it didn't.

Anyway it's the managers job to ensure such incidents don't occur. What happens if we are linked to a name in the summer???????? maybe two, (Please don't use that word again) me we'll be playing Burnley by christmas.

If Kean had kept it together we wouldn't have been potential relegation candiadtes on the last day. We'd have been top ten as we were when he came in.

Well done Kean for putting right the mess you were right at the center of starting....

Honestly, you do seem to be genuinely upset at the moment.

Come on maj, imagine you play for us, one of the most settled clubs in football and there has been a constant status for many many years. Then suddenly in the space of weeks there's new owners, the manager has almost unbelievably been sacked, the captain of the whole ship, williams, is gone. Top it all off with the fact that after years of no money and bargain basement signings some of the most famous players in the last decade are being linked.

I dont think thats is the background against which i'd like to take my first ever managers job and I can see how focus in the squad may have dropped.

Yep if sam had remained then none of it would likely been an issue, but he didn't and it is what it is. We stayed up when we could easily have gone and keen did okay in the end.

I'd rather he wasn't our boss next year but we stayed up when times were very difficult and i'll always be greatful for this.

Absolutely fantastic that we are safe, however, there's always a danger that some supporters will get carried away with Kean in the midst of their delirium and that's certainly in evidence on this MB.

Simple question - is there anyone better to progress Rovers.

Based upon Kean's track record then the answer has to be yes. 22 points from 21 matches with just 2 wins in the last 14 games does not cut it for me.

We have some superb young talent: Jones, Hoilett, Olsson, Nzonzi etc.

Let's be honest, we've just had an almighty close call and we got a bit lucky.

We don't want to be in the same position next season.

Unfortunately, I think Venky's will stick and live to regret their decision.

Guaranteed by his team selection and tactics.

When was the last time a team set up by Sam went 3-0 up away from home?

Never?

Surely when you're 3-0 up against Wolves at half-time you're supposed to boo the manager for "not going for it"?

Fair enough.

But i would ask if I have screamed you down as you have stated others do? I believe the answer to that would be no, so please don't treat me as them. fair?

first 45 we did very well, best of the season? Not convinced on that one and the trouble is in the second half we got battered. Yes we won but Wolves had enough chances to bury us, so I can't say we were superb becasue that didn't occur for 90 minutes.

Keans biggest flaw is on the touchline, he cannot change a game mid game. Look at today we got battered straight after half time and it took him almost 35 minutes before he considered changing things. Yes we got the win but it was far from convincing and his record collectively is shocking.

I seriously worry for our future and I hate to think what we will end up with player wise with Kean in charge.

Our owners appear to take people at their word and that is no way to suceed in football, there are a 100 & 1 bullshitters for every decent man. The whole situation has me and many others believeing that this will be our end as too many things have occured that have proven very detrimental to Rovers so far. Kean talks about our biggest ever budget, I ask who is paying for it? Because if it's all going against our club or loans from them to us etc etc, then that's a disaster for us long term as we will never make the profits needed to pay it back. I love the fact we were stable living within our means, now it seems we will no longer be doing that and even Jw agreed rovers couldn't survive by going down that route.

All Venky's have ever needed to do is talk straight with the fans, they haven't and so why should I show them respect? They show me none? You've said you beat people down because they scream and shout at you, Venky's lie to me and show us no respect so I should?

Not going to happen..... And it's a long way back for them in my eyes now and a few signings won't change my mind.

A very sensible and accurate reflection of events.
