vintageadidas Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 So basically you have no clue what you are talking about. Beattie scored once every 6 games Cheers BKR How were the first 45 against Blackpool, the second 45 against WHU and the full 90 against Everton? Apart from the Arsenal result there is nothing to say we will finish any higher next season. Cheers BKR Shall we go through all the dire performances under Sam? We survived, Kean had a similar point ratio to Sam as well at his first attempt at management; he can only get better and i truly believe he will. I am excited for the new season. Regards, VA

Mattyblue Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I am really looking forward to next season, more so than under BS. Expect the unexpected. I was in the changing rooms yesterday and his notes, tactics against united are all still up - very detailed and well organised. Both pre and post match. BS's just had an arrow pointing to the opposition half (hoof) Wolves first half was the best football we have played for years. Come on son, very churlish towards Sam that.
vintageadidas Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Come on son, very churlish towards Sam that. Far from it; i am stating what i have seen in the changing rooms.
Mattyblue Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 There was a an arrow pointing up the pitch and that was it? Come on!
rebelmswar Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 There was a an arrow pointing up the pitch and that was it? Come on! Maybe confusing him with Ince?
BuckyRover Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 There was a an arrow pointing up the pitch and that was it? Come on! I imagine there was also a picture of his face
vintageadidas Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Well to be precise it was pretty much three arrows and of course the players it was aimed at both opposition and Rovers. Kean's is far more detailed and looked very impressive. Lots of PMA literature around the changing rooms too.
bob fleming Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Far from it; i am stating what i have seen in the changing rooms. And did Sam's really just have an arrow pointing to the opposition half? Anyway, neither of them match up to "The Master" - 46 Seconds "Shoot!"
braddock Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 So basically you have no clue what you are talking about. Beattie scored once every 6 games Cheers BKR By the looks of things that was his point. They did it with an awful attack and relied on other players to lift them up the league Regards Your Mum 's face
Amo Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 And did Sam's really just have an arrow pointing to the opposition half? Anyway, neither of them match up to "The Master" - 46 Seconds "Shoot!" You know, even for Ince, I think that's fake. Look how out of focus it is one moment, then suddenly clear as day the next.
rebelmswar Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 You know, even for Ince, I think that's fake. Look how out of focus it is one moment, then suddenly clear as day the next. You are right, the spelling of "shoot" is correct and not in crayon.

Nah, it's real I reckon. He'd have pulled the Beeb up for taking the mickey otherwise. Then again, he is right, you should shoot from around that area. If he'd have done his coaching badges he'd have remembered that and not had to make notes.
Mattyblue Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Lots of PMA literature around the changing rooms too. Now that I can believe!
broadsword Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 You are right, the spelling of "shoot" is correct and not in crayon.
PAFELL Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011  Dam, see a new reply in the steve Kean thread and I open it in the hope he has gone.
XLM Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 So basically you have no clue what you are talking about. Beattie scored once every 6 games Cheers BKR Is once in every 6 games supposed to be good? I don't get your point. I was saying they had a crap strike force and finished fourth. Whoooooooooooosh!
booth Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 You know, even for Ince, I think that's fake. Look how out of focus it is one moment, then suddenly clear as day the next. Pulling focus like that would be easy for a BBC sports camera-op bod. It's 100% real.
rebelmswar Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Pulling focus like that would be easy for a BBC sports camera-op bod. It's 100% real. But it had joined up letters!
booth Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 But it had joined up letters! Don't discount that he got someone else to write it for him.
gumboots Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Pulling focus like that would be easy for a BBC sports camera-op bod. It's 100% real. With the right equipment and a bit of training it's easy for anyone.
LeChuck Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 You know, even for Ince, I think that's fake. Look how out of focus it is one moment, then suddenly clear as day the next. As Bob said, there's no way the Beeb what have gotten away with faking that clip on MOTD. I can't access the video at work, but if there is a change of focus then maybe their graphics department cleaned it up a bit so it was easily readable.
booth Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 With the right equipment and a bit of training it's easy for anyone. The trick is doing it on the fly, on the zoom (which means the focus isn't as deep) and without thinking about it. I wouldn't say anyone could do it personally, well not as well as it's done in that clip. For a sports shooter there's no question though. Those guys do it week in week out and they have to be fast. It's very similar to wildlife photography, blink and you'll miss it. if there is a change of focus then maybe their graphics department cleaned it up a bit so it was easily readable. They've done a simple digital zoom into the freeze-framed image, digitally rotated it so it's the right way up, added some digital sharpening and upped the brightness and contrast. Most importantly the clip is hilarious.

But for anyone who has had appropriate training and has good equipment, it's the kind of thing they are looking for. They get used to reacting to what they see through the lens and are always ready for gems like that.
