Neal
By all accounts Kean did a good presser. Whether he did so under instructions....? Insiderovers tweets are progressively more depressing but that is nothing on the grim stuff certain MB members sent me this afternoon. Over to them to decide whether to post or not when they spot the MB is working again. C'mon then chaps, bring it on. We may as well get it out of the way now rather dragging out news and rumours for weeks on end.

John
Given Venkys decision making to date, it gives me the fear thinking who they might appoint if we were ever going to need a new manager. Reading between the lines, seems like an uncomfortable situation between Kean and Venkys (for whatever reason) - apparently Junior close to signing a new contract though? rovers_rob
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/next-manager-to-leave-post I'm not surprised that the odds are so low for Kean to be sacked after all the guff that has been doing the rounds. The only winner after today is the bookies. Crazy crazy day for rumours.

The only winner after today is the bookies. Crazy crazy day for rumours. didnt back him hes price will go out again ..people thought they were onto a good thing but it was all rumours apparently Kean did a good press conference ( for a change and spoke some sense ) wether it was script written remains to be seen....I have never been a lover of kean the way he got the job , his stupid comments , the bad losing run , tactical decisions , etc but too sack him with no competent replacement in place or ready in waiting/signed sealed and delivered iE : Mark Hughes it would be total madness but then again does anything surprise you with these clowns in charge ???? tony gale's mic
I think I'll put.............I say, I think I'll put a bet on F Leghorn. Why is C. Sanders 100/1 but F. Leghorn 200/1? Besides, if I put a tenner on an animated character becoming manager of Blackburn Rovers I'd want more than a couple of grand if it came off! Insiderovers tweets are progressively more depressing but that is nothing on the grim stuff certain MB members sent me this afternoon. Well I for one have had enough of "certain MB members". Are we 7000 ST holders down year-on-year? NO, that couldn't be more untrue. Unless you're reading this messageboard in the last 24 hours where that lie has been pushed to cause damage in hearts and minds. Grim stuff indeed. Has Kean gone? Sacked? NO. Has he resigned?? NO. All been posted as fact on this MB today. Is the club melting down? NO. There are teething problems and communication problems. But behind the scenes, the show goes on. There are a lot of people - some pre-Venkys, some post-Venkys - working bloody hard down at Ewood and Brockhall to help make this football club as ready and as strong as possible come August 13th. Those people would simply not recognise the pictures of doom that are being painted on this internet messageboard. Yes there are challenges, yes there are difficulties, but the world is not collapsing as certain posters seem desperate to predict. As this is the Steve Kean thread, then a word about him. The "challenges and difficulties" have largely been handled - at this end - by him. Broad shoulders.

Phil Jones transfer money, going to the bank to pay off a mortgage, is this more rubbish. Debt still not paid, players still not signed. Transfers breaking down at the last moment. All rubbish as well I suppose. Oh well business as usual at Rovers then, no need to worry.

I heard last weekend of something to do with Mark Hughes and his backroom team but really didnt pay much attention to it. I can confirm that you did know this.
