  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Recommended Posts

Well I for one have had enough of "certain MB members".

Are we 7000 ST holders down year-on-year? NO, that couldn't be more untrue. Unless you're reading this messageboard in the last 24 hours where that lie has been pushed to cause damage in hearts and minds. Grim stuff indeed.

Has Kean gone? Sacked? NO. Has he resigned?? NO. All been posted as fact on this MB today.

Is the club melting down? NO. There are teething problems and communication problems. But behind the scenes, the show goes on.

There are a lot of people - some pre-Venkys, some post-Venkys - working bloody hard down at Ewood and Brockhall to help make this football club as ready and as strong as possible come August 13th. Those people would simply not recognise the pictures of doom that are being painted on this internet messageboard. Yes there are challenges, yes there are difficulties, but the world is not collapsing as certain posters seem desperate to predict.

As this is the Steve Kean thread, then a word about him. The "challenges and difficulties" have largely been handled - at this end - by him. Broad shoulders.

Written by a messageboard troll whose football knowledge extended to supporting Paul Ince as our manager.

Meanwhile with less than 4 weeks to start of the season Rovers have a weaker squad than ended last season and have failed to sign a player of note because of "challenges" and difficulties", aka lies and incompetence.

Roll on August 13.

I'm sure the staff are working hard and with one arm tied behind their back. I don't envy them. Christ knows what Paul Hunt makes of it.

May surprise you Tris that not all posters on here get their info exclusively from brfcs.

If you think everything is fine at Ewood, fair enough but where is the Jones money? I think you know.

Why are ST sales down.

Why don't we have a sponsor.

Why are we scuttling about for bargain basement players?

The list is endless.

I very rarely share the same perspective as Tris.

However, he shouldn't get all the abuse that is being aimed at him.

Then he should kindly refrain from throwing abuse at anyone else, he is not the only one who gets his information directly from Ewood Park!!

What about the players dug their heals in about playing in India. Is that garbage also. Phil Jones transfer money, going to the bank to pay off a mortgage, is this more rubbish. Debt still not paid, players still not signed. Transfers breaking down at the last moment. All rubbish as well I suppose. Oh well business as usual at Rovers then, no need to worry.

Jason Roberts on Twitter says he was disappointed not to be going to India, and there was no truth in the rumour that the players were too scared to go. Still, what would he know...

I'm not abusing him, but to be of the opinion that things are not going awry at the club I find hard to fathom.

Quite a few staunch anti-Allardyce people firmly nailed their flag to the Venky's mast the minute that he was removed from the club.

Understandable really that they won't want to retract that until something concrete happens. Well, if you don't count nearly getting the club relegated, that is.

Tris' inside knowledge of Rovers extended to telling us all that there was no way the club would appoint Sam as manager after Ince was fired.

Excuse me if I don't consider it all that reliable.

tris was in the know. fat sam wasnt 1st choice, to succeed ince! souness and tugay as his assistant were! ;)

Ironic, or not, the people who hated Allardyce guts are pretty much the same people who think Venkys are like a breath of fresh air and that Kean did a good job last season (and is exempt from unreasonable criticism and name calling).

people conveniently forget that!

on kean. he impresses me in his press conferences.. but sadly i cant trust what he says anymore.

Wish these socalled professionals could just shut up. Never would I be gobbing about internal stuff in my company.

Actually former Rovers legend Henning Berg is getting sick and tired of his players yapping away on social networks and made a big fuss about it.

STEVE Kean has assured Blackburn Rovers fans he does have a ‘sizeable’ budget to spend this summer as he moved quickly to calm growing frustrations among the Ewood Park faithful.

LET Story

Will Rovers fans accept this as the truth? Or is this a smoke screen infront of the club in meltdown?

Rubbish zac. I wanted him, me dad wanted him, me grandad wanted him, a few of me pals wanted him to name but a few.

People that knew about football recognised a good manager when they saw one. We knew more than 'Aye, Ince is young, English and hungry get him in'.

A hell of a lot didn't want him at the club but don't put words in peoples mouths.

But anybody could have kept us up, given some people's logic that if Kean can anyone can. With that as the case we didn't need him or his football.

Laudrup should have been the man to replace Hughes. For some reason (jingoism? When have we had a foreign manager?), JW looked to the likes of Shearer, and ultimately Ince. So when the crud hit the fan, they had to turn to good ol' Sam, and pay through the nose for his services. And of course, concoct some story that Allardyce was 'first choice' in the summer but wasn't ready for a comeback.
