John Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I just saying the results did improve in the last few games, I think it is fair to say that. He still has it all to prove.

ABBEY Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 2 wins in 15 john? top 8 and a wembley win form .
Gav Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Now that's not exactly true Gav, without naming any names You can fall out with managers after initially supporting them Jimmy
BiggusLaddus Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Abbey you know as well as anyone else that performances improved in the last six our seven games and the results folowed suit in the last 4. If we can carry that into this season then great. If not and we start badly then he should be gone.

BiggusLaddus Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I wouldn't say fickle... If it had been my decision i'd have sacked him last season, but in my opinion he bought himself another chance with the way things picked up at the end. But it is his last chance for me.
PAFELL Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Just drop it, Pafell. You've mentioned making another 'next manager' thread when there's no sign of Kean getting sacked. Just wait and see what happens before your latest snipe at the guy. This would be a very different story if it was (golden-era) Souey, or Sparky going to court. Double-standards. I have not made any snipes at the guy. My stance would be the same whoever the person was, IF they were convicted of drink driving. You are right, there is no sign - sadly - of Kean being sacked or even jailed. If not and we start badly then he should be gone. The improvements came at the time Phil Jones returned to the side - he is no longer at the club. JJ is no longer at the club. We must hope that Petrovic is as good or better than JJ. In Hong Kong the defence was a shambles.

You are right, there is no sign - sadly - of Kean being sacked or even jailed. In an attempt at rationality, Kean being convicted or, worse, jailed is not a good thing for the Rovers. It will/would make us more of a laughingstock with what is going on with our 'management team'. So I, for one, am hoping he beats the charge. To be clear, I still want him gone. But I do not want him, and by extension, the club, mocked any more than we have been as a result of our current mess.

But I'd be happy to put up with that, IF the end result was we got a decent manager in. But he is not likely to get sacked - but nobody twice over the limit should be allowed to beat the charge if they are guilty.

Craigman Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 What if your drink is spiked? You should still know you would be over the limit ! Surely you would be able to tell that you had had more alcohol. I can tell if something has alcohol in or not.
PAFELL Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 What if your drink is spiked? check out www.drinkdrivinglaw.co.uk (I do not know how to post links) where the following is from. On the subject of driving and alcohol, useful site. Spiked or laced drinks In order to successfully defend a case on the basis that a drink was spiked the Defendant will need to show: 1/ But for the drink being spiked, they would have been below the limit or their ability to drive would not have been impaired; 2/ They had no knowledge that the drink was spiked or any reason to assume that they were above the limit. However, even if the above issues are established, it is still open to the Court to convict the Defendant, although these reasons can be used to justify "special reasons" as to why there should be no disqualification.

Gav Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Yesterdays news So Kean say's he is LIKE Rooney when he was younger. So what All the talking stops tomorrow cruz, maybe Keans right and he is like a young Rooney, time will tell.
cruz Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 He learnt from the Master Philip. Mr 'Vibrant' Allardyce himself....'THE EXPERT'
Ripleys love child Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Kean is so full of BS. Takes 1 to know 1 though doesn't it
deryck guyler's spoon Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Kean is so full of BS. When it comes to BS, YOU DA MAN!
John Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Hopefully, by getting results on the pitch, Kean's comments will become less relevant - who cares if we are winning?
darwenblueswearehere Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Kean is so full of BS. What would you rather he said "He's extremely average"? I've watched Goodwillie play up here in Scotland a few times and the comparison with Rooney might not be as wide of the mark as some people might think. Style-wise at any rate, albeit he's yet to prove it at the very top level, and he scored a goal in a cup game against Motherwell that was very similar to the one Rooney scored against City. How many players have we had in recent times that could score a goal like that, which was a wonder-goal regardless of the opposition or standard of league?
Gav Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Kean is so full of BS. Come on philipl, lets be positive for once, we're on the eve of a new season for goodness sake, new slate and all that
