  1. 1. Should Steve Kean stay or go

Recommended Posts

Im all for being positive, really I am, but this guy is really not up to it in what is the biggest league in the world.

You have to be at the top to do well, you have to have the best you can get to even stay up. We have for many years done this.

The problem is the sheer contempt and arrogance at what is our club, we are the ones considered clueless and hysterical. When it us us the lowly fans who can see exactly how badly OUR club is being run into the ground.

These people wont change course, I really hope Im wrong but this is gonna end badly, very badly.

Arrogance will not allow you to see your wrongs, arrogance will not put these wrongs right!!

The hysterics going on in this thread is too funny, and not funny laugh out loud, more funny shoot my myself in the head. Calm down, its the first game of the season and there's along way too go, 37 games to be precise. Can we also give it around 5/6 games before we starting calling for him to be sacked.

No. The squad is full of young players who need an experince manager to manager them. Kean is not that person.

Kean showed last seaso why he is not good enough and is now continuing to show the same.

KEAN OUT

It's his first full season in charge, I'm prepared to give him a chance. Of course last season after a bright start, we were incredibly poor but I really believe that with Rochina and Formica ready to come through and our full defence back we will be alot stronger through the season. Goodwillie looked good, Petrovic we haven't seen yet and with the prospect of more signings I'm quite positive. Surely you have to take into account that our centre backs were out today. Every club would struggle in that situation.

When you go a goal up, you dont simply carry on playing, I always tell my teams when we score to go a goal ahead, 'for ten minutes, keep it tight' all teams are vulnerable just after you score a goal as the opposition try to get a goal back quickly, the longer you hold them you get control of the game, play it tight and look for the breaks as they try to commit forward, we didnt do that and our midfield had no real 'sitter' in the squad to protect the defence. For me Kean is not the man to manage Rovers, he is not good enough, its as simple as that. As Kamy says, we need players with Prem experience to help us through but the deluded twitt is looking to the Scottish League for signings!! That should say enough, sack him now!!

Well the experiment has failed Kean not up to it but will no doubt survive, i am so fed up right now like the rest of you guys, did you notice not one rovers player came to the Blackburn end today at the end of the game, says it all for me. Venkys grow some balls get rid of Kean and get a real manager in.

That my friend is all I am asking.

We have a fraudster, a chance, an old fashioned cad and a bounder as a manager.

Wake up everyone, you are allowed an opinion.

Never settle for second best, we demand the best for our club!

If "Tony from Blackburn" who has just been on 606 talking to Jason Roberts about Kean/Venky's (and even a cheeky SEM question) is one of our posters, then sir, I applaud you.

Can we have a KEAN OUT thread, not just a steve kean thread. With of course who we want to replace him with. Time to have a new manager poll

He's not going to be judged on one game with so many big players out but the lack of passion and ideas didn't bode well.

If he continues his bad run of form and we don't strengthen further before the window closes, its curtains for him and relegation battling for us.

"Only one thing to say:

A coach will always have the backing of the dressing room, a manager will not.

Make the correct decision and either make steve kean a coach or sack him!"

It is not just one game. Yes he was not able to field Samba etc - but there should be replacements in the squad to cover. It is good having a team of youn players, but they need an experience manager. Rovers do not have one.

He did, but he was injured as well.

Samba, Nelsen, Givet & Hanley are our first-team centre-backs this season. With three of them out, what did you expect?

Hanley's not ready for this level, yet? He looked suspect at times last season and really would be better off getting some pitch time lower down in say the championship.

So who should Kean have played at the back today?

I know what your saying. But the squad should have been strengthen way before now. Even if they had replaced Phil Jones there would have been cover. But they have not done that. Any team would struggle with the centre backs out. but that could happen at anytime, injury, suspensions.

My concern is not just today - but as I mentioned in other posts. The inexperience of the manager when we have a very young squad. They need an experienced manager and so does the team as a whole. it is an experience manager who should be able to get the best out of the players that he has. I do not believe Kean is that person to do it.
