oh aye your right lad we'll all eat humble pie just for you. After all "The Expert" was way too good for us. He should have been managing Inter, Barca, Real, Juve or some other "top" team and he told eveyone so whenever he could. The fat one WAS average like it or not AND he wanted out of Brfc or is your memory so clouded by your worship of The Majesty that is Sam? Where is he by the way? Who's he managing now?.... No one?......Must be recharging his batteries ready to replace Cappello or some other top manager eh? In fact I bet Mourinho is clearing his desk as we speak!

Our current expert was poached from where?

that we will probably be playing in the Championship next season because the stupid owners failed to adequately replace Allardyce.

I've corrected this for you.

Mark, you said at the time Sam was managing that you would get rid tomorrow - if I remember correctly. If your argument at the time, had been that Rovers should look to replace Sam, when a better manager could be found, - then I think you would have got agreement from all of us. But you didn't and that's where the differences came in. Your argument was always that Allardyce was holding the squad back because of his "hoofball" tactics. You even said at one time, that because the team had been putting in some good performances, it was because Sam had changed his views on how football should be played! Well, we brought a manager in who believed the same as you. He "allowed" the players to pass and move and play a more open game - just as you said they could and guess what - the results have gone backwards.

So, although you and a few others thought it would be easy to replace Sam and move forwards, Others knew that that would be mighty difficult.

All I know is the Plunkett tweet.

That will not have gone on there if he did not expect something to change.

I hope the strange timing means a replacement is ready to be announced when Kean goes.

I suspect that Mrs D who demands absolute loyalty and has fired Anderson Senior could be firing Kean for having signed Anderson junior. There are also some other Rao family politics which could have caused Kean's family backer to be out of grace

Den, obviously I meant him to be replaced with a proper manager - not a no-mark coach! I fully supported sacking Sam at the time because we were being linked with the likes of Jol and O'Neill who IMO both would have been improvements. Proper, experienced managers.

However, while I didn't agree with Kean's appointment it was only fair to give him a chance. Well now that time has run out. Sacking Sam and replacing him with Kean = bad decision - you'll get no argument from me on that score. Guess we'll never know but if we'd have gone for Jol I'd bet we'd be pushing far higher up the table than both Kean or Sam would have.

As for the football, Sam played far too much direct football, but Kean has tried to change too much too quickly. I still think Sam's system and tactics didn't get the maximum from our players, and I think an experienced manager would have introduced more gradual change.

I think you're a troll who hated Sam with a passion just like your mates and you keep making that point over and over to wind the Board up. You enjoy crowing about his sacking even in the predicament we face. "He had to go" you said. Not "He had to go in the summer". This is a bit you added after, like a few on here.

I won't be feeding your face again no matter what you write.

Unfortunately 47er you once again jumped in without reading what had been posted, this made you look a little silly, buy I’m sure it’s not the first time and certainly won’t be the last.

The debate moved on, pity you didn’t.
