roverwhelmed Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 next week Rovers are at the Emirates can anyone honestly say that Steve kean has the nohow or nouse to get anything from this game ???? It is also highly possible that by the end of next weekend Rovers could be in the bottom 3 ..is Steve kean the man with John Jensen to take them out of that ???? I am really struggling to think of 3 worse sides at the moment ??? Wigan - they turned us over west Brom - picked up under Roy not lost since his appointment West ham - invested in strikers who are scoring turned it round Wolves - form team at the moment Blackpool - always got goals in them Aston Villa - in free fall in house fighting , etc but strangely there only win of recent is over Rovers convincingly Birmingham - possibly worse than Rovers we'll see shortly as if we dont beat them the only way is down ! You're right, and it is more worrying than words.

You could list all our last 5 managers and said we weren't likely to get anything at Arsenal. How do you reckon that Kean is in any different position than Hodgson, Kidd, Souness, Hughes, Ince or Allardyce? Of those Allardyce and Hughes maybe, Hughes by kicking Arsenal about and Allardyce by grinding out a set-piece goal or a nil-nil. On the very rare times we got anything it was on the back of a Friedel superman display. If Rovers get anything there will anyone on this Board credit Kean? A few maybe but no doubt the rest would attribute it to luck, the players performing despite Kean, oh, and that Keith Andrews is crocked. Wigan are struggling, Blackpool are getting less points than us at the moment (the draw might be an important point for us). The critical games are Brum at home and possibly Wolves away - I desperately hope that we are safe by that last game but we may have a nervous end to the season with Sky focussing on that one. I would also target the West Ham away game as well. Exciting and nervous times indeed, but I haven't lost faith yet.
Bobby G Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I PRAY its a win win situation against Arsenal. Avoid defeat and Kean earns one more week but it will be a vital point or three. Lose badly and God Please let our competent owners get rid of him. I dont understand how some people think its a risk to sack him now cause its suicide to keep him on now. You dont even have to run a chicken farm to see the clucking warning signs.
BangkokRover Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 There is no way he will be sacked before the end of the season.
Bobby G Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Never say never. If we are to believe that Sam lost his job cause of a 7-1 defeat to Man Utd, then shouldnt a 6 goal defeat to Arsenal do the same to this guy?
philipl Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I wonder if Steve Air Myles Kean has done his Pune trip over the international break?
Athlete Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 don't beat Birmingham and were screwed but at this point we'd struggle to beat anyone ! BTW with SK in charge we'd struggle at Hackney Marshes never mind the Emirates

Pete1981 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I wonder if Steve Air Myles Kean has done his Pune trip over the international break? No point him going over there when Venkys have been over here Venkys driver wrote this on Twitter chauffeur2go marc smith Fantastic few days with Venky's on way home to India now back in a month
Bobby G Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Time will cure? Im so happy Steve Kean is very nice. Add that to him being positive and a thinker and maybe we should base a series of The Bachelor around him?
Mayfield Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 ''The manager is very nice, very positive. The situation is under control, time will cure,we have to keep playing well'' Well now that Venkys have said that we've nothing to worry about, nothing can go wrong
John Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Time will cure? Im so happy Steve Kean is very nice. Add that to him being positive and a thinker and maybe we should base a series of The Bachelor around him? I would like to hear Kean talk a bit more frankly with less scripted answers - he is overly positive which comes across as fake and sometimes you need to say it how it is.

Stuart Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Run that by me again, Steve. I shouldn't worry because...?

On the very rare times we got anything it was on the back of a Friedel superman display. Our last 4 visits have been L 2-6, L 0-4, L 0-2, L2-6, so I'm not sure I expect anything this time around via kicking, grinding or playing
martonrover Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 owners give full backing to kean http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,16467_6837069,00.html If it wasn't so frightening it would be funny! Wakey wakey Venkys, being a 'nice man' does not mean being a good football manager.
BRFC1995 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 anyone above the rank of player in the current set up appears so naive and clueless as to the current position and how hard are remaining games are, utterly frightening prospect for the future. Maybe we actually do need winterburn back coaching the defence again, as like ince kean has no clue how to get a clean sheet regularly. Re-purcussuions of the impending hiding at arsenal will hopefully open some eyes in pune.
Mercer Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I've got a sneeking feeling that our owners' support is not quite as solid as before and there are now different schools of thought as to whether they should stick or twist ! Hence, the Friday morning activity when perhaps the 'twisters' were trying to force the issue! Of course this will all be denied but it's not over until the fat lady sings and I suspect that there will be much gargling going on over the next week.
Ferrit Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 owners give full backing to kean http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,16467_6837069,00.html I'm getting tired of some of the comments from our owners in the press. Keep playing good? Excuse me?
cloggyjimmybrfc Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 When theres certain media reporters backing kean isnt it any wonder we are getting kicked from every angle?.....the pl will be celebrating if the inevitable happens........they will be having my middle finger if we dont....the worrying will continue next season if they dont get their house in order...
greco Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 owners give full backing to kean http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,26691,16467_6837069,00.html thanks for the link. they are ###### nauseating. we work positive, the club is positive, kean is positive, we need to still play good football and be positive. im beginning to miss ince´s "you know´s" they seem naive and out of touch with reality and thats from top til bottom, i guesss thats also the reason, why so many fear for our future. were they not supposed to learn on the job, but here 6 months laters, its stil the same nausetaing ######. They have learned absolutely nothing, and seemingly still act like buffons in the transfermarket, with the signing of mister anderson.
Mattyblue Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 When is the marketing masterplan getting going, by the way?
Gav Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 When theres certain media reporters backing kean isnt it any wonder we are getting kicked from every angle Whether or not Kean is up to the job or not shouldnt be the question at this stage of the season. I think we can all agree that Venkys have probably made a bad error in judgement putting him at the helm, but we have to live with that for now. What really irritates me is the way people seem to have joined the media campaign of hammering everything Blackburn Rovers, this isnt a new phenomena its been going on for years, but to have our own supporters helping stalk the fires seems strange to me. The meeting in London after the Fulham game were given as fact by a few on here, it was obviously utter nonsense. If anything we should all be adopting a siege mentality, backing the owners, backing the club and hopefully getting out the mess were currently in, but then again pigs might fly.
