Problem is, that the owners are dumb ######, who have no idea of what is going on at the moment. Its too late to sack him, and replace him.

It's really not though. New Managers invariably have a honeymoon period and I bet we'd get more points with a chimp in charge.

Of course Venkys are too gutless to act, but still.

I think Kean getting some flak is fair enough but when you stop and have a look at our squad.......GOOD GOD we have some players that are way past premier league ability.

A 6 million pound striker that cant make it to the bench, a left back in Givet who is a centre half, Emerton's talent has long gone, Dunn is past it, Pederson is his usual self, Benjani, Roberts and Floppy Santa Cruz are a waste of wages, even Samba is constantly trying his best to give the ball away.

P,Jones, J,Jones, Olsson, Hoilett, Salgado and Robinson are the only players playing up to their ability, the rest are past it, dont care or simply not good enough.

Sam was doing a good job with the players he had on offer which is now becoming obvious, Kean wont get results from open play and attacking because our players just are'nt good enough to create chances and put them away.

We need a massive overhaul in the summer because even if we do survive it will be the same next year.

Ah well, as much as I hate to see us fail miserably yet again, its nice to see this topic reclaimed by sane people after a brief period of utter bull**** about Samettes, dinosaurs and finishing 10th. Still hope that eventually all fans will unite and force this joker and his utterly pointless assistant out the club.

Seriously not even a rumor about him being sacked after another 2 points dropped?

If John Williams was in charge of hiring and firing I'd believe there was a real chance of him going. However who knows what planet the venkys are on?

I wish I had a boss that allowed me to be that poor at my job, every day would be a holiday.

We will be relegated , just cannot see us getting to 40 points with the fixtures remaining... Kean should have been removed after Villa but he wasn't and unfortunately , we the supporters are stuck with him .... The thing that really irks me is , he will f off in the summer with a golden handshake and we will be going Bristol and Scunny !!!

The same one that was forced by the Walker Trust to sack Ince, and who let Souness run us into the ground before Newcastle stepped in?

I doubt it, I think a better way of looking at it is that if John was still performing the job he had done admirably for many years then Kean would not be in the position of manager in the first place.

That said, as I have stated elsewhere I think the ref was a disgrace today and probably more to blame than Kean.

I know Scunthorpe put 4 past QPR today (much to my daughter's delight as she was covering that one for LKO yorks and Lincs and was hoping for a bit of a fairytale for her report)but there's every chance they'll get relegated too so that trip won't be on the agenda.

No--it was obvious at the time. Many of us said so.

Just as a point of interest, a question to the hard-core Samettes. What are you going to say if we get a positive set of results on the run-in and finish in 10th or above?

What I say to that is unprintable.

Some very pertinent sentences that sum up why Sam was doing a bloody good job and why it was so wrong of the owners to fire him back in December.

We need a massive overhaul without doubt next season - and that's just to stay in the Championship and avoid sinking even farther.

Another bit of managerial genius-----several high profile players have been offered new contracts but the one who matters most, Hoilett, has to wait for discussions at the end of the season! According to our manager this will prevent him being distracted!

Where's the logic in that? Surely the longer our decline goes on the less likely he is to re-sign and the smaller the fee we'll get.

If we are relegated, as seems likely, he won't be staying. Our manager reveals himself to be thick with that one or he's not telling the truth.

Agreed about Souness but don't forget the success we enjoyed under him. I'm sure because of past glories JW gave Souness more time. Under Kean we have no such past glory apart from a good win against Liverpool to remember.

I don't believe that JW was forced by the Walker Trust to sack Ince. Jesus Christ would have sacked Paul Ince.

But, I'd say any chairman in the football league (not just PL) would struggle to find a good reason for keeping him on with his record.
