[Archived] what happens if we stay up?

Recommended Posts

I've been reading about that if we get relegated then the rao's are going to drop us like a bad habit, and have no more money left, what happens if we survive? will they give us some money for signings or is there no money left in the kitty, so no loan players nothing.

Has anyone actually seen that quoted anywhere?

Don't think we need to worry about staying up.

Mrs woman needs to pick up the leaflet "So....you've been relegated to the Championship"

You don't need a quote- just a simple calculator.

Anyway let's desperately and seriously hope we have the worry of the coming transfer window viewed through a Premier League perspective and that we also somehow take advantage of the bunching to get a good league placing as well.

7 points cover 8 to 17th- or about £8m difference in prize money.

If we stay up I'll breathe a sigh of relief. Then hope for better next season. Survival in the prem has to be rovers main aim every season.

Why so negative?

Positivity can take us all the way to the top! We will survive easily this year if we remain positive. Next year since we will have had loads of extra time to increase our positivity through thinking and so we can aim higher and finish maybe 7th. Research has shown positive thoughts make you lighter and so we will fly up the table on our cloud of positivity next season. Add in our great thinking abilities and we could win the league soon.

Positivity is the way forward.

PMA PMA PMA!!!!

Even more TLAs...

Positive thinking. We'll stay up and the thinking man will guide us to glory by thinking positively and the points will be thought into existance and, with the wonderful mental power of our glorious leader, we'll watch the ball sail around the pitch by thought power alone. Think positively but above all be a great thinker. Just don't close your eyes and snore while doing it at work...

What happens if we stay up? Well if we lose to Blackpool and still stay up in May then I might just be found aka Joyce McKinney and skiing naked down Craven Brow with a carnation up my arse whistling Dixie!

This is the tightest season I remember.

As Phil stated, one good run puts us mid table. Problem is that a number of other teams will be saying the same thing and they are arguably better equipped for a fight than us.

I just hope we pick up the points to stay up, anything else is a bonus.

Fantastic stuff guys.

I already feel lighter with the positivity radiating of this thread. Now we need to go forth with our new found positive light guiding the way and spread our message of joy to all the other threads on this forum for the divine. If we stay positive other will soon follower and our dream of floating up the league on our cloud of positivity can begin.

I think we should all print off giant + symbols for the match against Blackpool so we can display our positivity to all around us. If we take extra's maybe we can spread some of our positivity to others.

We can look forward to playing Burnley !!!

Howe really has them motoring, 17 points from 8 games of which 6 have been away !!!

They've also just signed Delfouneso from Villa for the rest of the season.

I'm no closet Claret but just happen to have a number of friends who follow Burnley and make sure that I am aware of what's happening. They are daring to dream again !!!

The young lad from Villa is a cracking signing for that league, but I still don't think they've got enough for promotion.

As for us, we must, must, must appoint an experienced and competent manager in the summer, rather than stick with Kean and hope that he comes good.

Please wake me up when it happens Andy.

I guess it means we'd be stuck with the wanky's for another year. I honestly don't think they have a clue, and I have no idea what could happen, but relegation next season could be a real possibility.

It's like going to a urinal and having Loretta Bobbit taking your john thomas out for a wee.

Raging Dingle. Miserable about Rovers and positively creaming himself over Burnley getting promoted.

Said it myself a while back now, not a decent thing to say about Roversregardless of the current situation and that last comment sums him up.

Think some of you have misinterpreted and need to lighten-up!

Some of my closest friends are Burnley supporters - what do you think we do around the dinner table, knock seven bells out of one another ? Rivalry should be about old fashioned banter only.

If we stay up:

Got to invest in the summer, glaring weaknesses in the side that need addressing. We have a number of players on loans most I imagine will end up leaving and we will need to sign some replacements. Ideally I would like to see us do a bit of a purge of the squad, time to get rid of some players who have been on our books for far too long and need to go if we are to progress. Obviously we will have to try and keep hold of our young stars (need to give Hoilett a new deal).

Depending on where we finish and how comfortably we stay up, a new manager might have to be looked at. In terms of staff I would like us to bring in a coach that has experience at playing as a striker or any other attacking role. I think our team has suffered as a result of not having an attacking specialist coach who can impart wisdom and experience on the young attacking players we have. We haven't had that sort of coaching since Sparky left.

That's all if we stay up...

i would like to see us sign a completely new midfield apart from hoilett, i would also like to see us sign j.jones permanently, i was really impressed by him on saturday and i think hes a bit like robbie savage but better on the ball which is something we have missed since he left.

sign roque but on pay as you play because he ball retention is world class and gives us something new, get rid of jr and benji and send mame back, and bring in 2 new strikers

Got to agree...not a hint of any positivity for weeks, if not months, then comes along creaming himself about the dingles' current form..something decidedly fishy going on there methinks.

Yeti-Dog - given your apparent obsession in criticising fellow Rovers' supporters, with me one of your particular targets, I invited you for a drink at a Rovers away match in order that we could have a nice little chat and perhaps understand one another a bit more. You said you would get back to me. I think there have been some six away matches away since, of which I've been to four, and, needless to say, I haven't heard a dicky bird from you. Me thinks you need to get a proper life and to stop hiding behind your screen, spouting such utter and complete shyte.
