Any apps/widges that let me turn wifi/3g on and off from the home screen? Fed up of going into my settings all the time.

There is an in built widget that let's you do that. Select widgets on the home screen and look for "settings" it then gives you about 5 or 6 options for icons to turn various things on and off.

Oh and Google goggles is great for solving sudoku puzzles! :-)

I now prefer Google Maps Navigation to my TomTom.al world uses I've found for it.

It's good but you need a good data connection if you divert off route which I find a bit annoying. It needs downloadable maps.

Other Free Apps/Games I have:

Dailystrip - Great for keeping up to date with the daily comic stips

Astro Browser - I hate not being able to browse the contents of my SDCard so this is a must.

Flashlight - Built into HTC 2.2 widgets, great widget for turning the camera flash into a torch

Rocket Bunnies - Passes some time, quite a fun game

Angry Birds & Seasonal - Just turn Wifi/3G off to get rid of the annoying adverts ;-)

BBC iplayer - Good on Wifi link, stupid that most mobile providers don't allow it on 3g

myPlayer - The best way to get around the limitations of BBC iplayer on 3g :-)

Vplayer - plays xvids/divx files with no conversion. Shame the developer has started putting nag ware in it

Winamp - good alternative to the inbuilt audio player and can override the default player when on car bluetooth etc

Skype - Works pretty well but why the hells there's no "exit" button I'll never know. You have to go into manage apps and kill it to get rid, stupid

Sky+ - enough said

Shazam - Free app that listens to music playing and tells you what the track is.

RealCalc - Adds scientific calculator functions

Google Translate - Does what it says on the tin and can even speak the sentances for you. Needs data connection to get results but then caches them so good to think of all the words/sentances you need before going abroad!

ColorNote - Postit note type app.

ConnectBot - ssh program for us geeks :-)

Paid Apps/Games I have:

Robo Defense - My favourite game on Android, there is a free trial version so try it out

Tapatalk - Good for reading forums easily

ESPN Goals - £4 per month subscription but you get the goals of all premiership games from 17:30 on saturday

Solo - Guitar program, sounds good but I'm crap. again there is a free version

Sky Force Reloaded - Kind of like 1942

Quick Office - lets you load and edit word/excel type docs

Mobile Maps 10 - I bought this ages ago as a Sat Nav with maps built in. works a treat but I think there is a newer version now with a different name.

Thats it for now.

One of the best pieces of advice, if you haven't rooted your phone (as I haven't) then the built in 2.2 Apps2SD is not that good. It gives developers the option of allowing installation to SD card but not all do. However, you can get around this limitation if you download the Android SDK, there is a program called ADB which is what you use to talk to your phone. Basically, install the SDK, hook your phone up and run:-

adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2

This will then allow you to move more (but not all) apps to the SDCard. You have to be careful with some like Tapatalk as the home screen widgets stop working if you move it to the SDCard.
