Hey guys, so i dont have a telephone line to connect a modem to, and only using one of those data cards or usb things to connect to the internet.

How can i get wifi to work, is this possible if you dont have a telephone line? im clueless when it comes to wfi, so need to know if the area in which you live has to be a wifi zone etc.

are there ways to create your own wifi setup, by using wifi equipment.

Note: i am useless and clueless with the whole WIFI business

You need a router to make Wi-Fi work. Which would usually mean having a static Internet connection through either telephone line or cable.

Not sure how it works in SA, but in the UK most ISPs now provide customers with a router.
