Can some one tell me how to free the asteroid? I use status on the spinning wheel and then blow part of it up. But when I jump on to the astroid to plant I think its a bomb I am chopped in half every time.

you need to jump on the asteroid and then run round to the other side of it ,(outside the ship)

there is another spinny thing out there to shoot ,, A couple of baddies attack you from the outside as well so be carefull

got stuck for ages myself on that bit
