thenodrog Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Having read the last few pages I'd like to thank Nicko for several frank and honest posts, without the recent personal jibes. I doubt he's concerned about his credibility with a bunch of Rovers fans on a MB but he does deserve credit for that. Indeed... but lets be crediting the likes of this chap more... he knew his onions and wasn't gullibly taken in was he? Note the date. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/sunsport_columnists/3286036/Steven-Howard-on-the-Blackburn-Rovers-shambles.html How about this fella too? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/blackburn-rovers/8202393/Sam-Allardyce-sacking-puts-Premier-League-on-alert-over-Blackburn-Rovers-transfer-policy.html and how about a thank you to old gunner graham too Jisty. Note the dates again. http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php/topic/23718-kentaro/page__p__970625#entry970625 http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php/topic/23718-kentaro/page__view__findpost__p__970625

philipl Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Philipl, the bit in bold, why do you think he was contracted to work in the best interest of the trust/rovers. He was working as a saleman on a commission basis ie working in the best interest of making a buck for himself, you are not naive, why play on supporters concerns/worries in this way, the deal was done. Hard as it is to take what is happening at the moment its time to move forward. ps, unless you can find a way of having the deal undone! Please read the full post- I am saying he was only a bounty hunter and NOT hired to find a buyer and that if he had been he would have been totally compromised by divided loyalties.
BangkokRover Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 Does anyone give a toss now? Venkeys own us and there is bugger all we can do about it.
GiddyGoat Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Nicko, I would have thought that SEM clients and family members getting jobs and improved contracts at Rovers would be Manna from heaven for a tabloid journalist. So what's your agenda here?
imy9 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Why dont you read the last 5 pages the answers are there
BangkokRover Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 I see lots of tooling and growing but not a lot else. The sale is complete end of story.
nicko Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Nicko, I would have thought that SEM clients and family members getting jobs and improved contracts at Rovers would be Manna from heaven for a tabloid journalist. So what's your agenda here? Perhaps you were giddy at the time... Who broke the Kentaro link? The Anderson link? The fact that Steve Kean is with SEM? Maybe you were grazing at the time. Family members? Hmm. Did that one in February on here. Nobody even knew the relationship before that. Not even worth a place in the mainstream media at the time. A massive mistake all the same. Or are you talking about the family members of past regimes that seemed to happen and be blissfully ignored?

The managerial assassination of Sam has created more "Lone Gunmen" groups than the Kennedy one did. If Mrs D farts nowadays we see it as a secret message.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Your club has always come in for easy stick as it has been regarded as a soft target by the media for many years. Long before Venky's. At last!,some inside media acknowledgement of what we as fans have always thought.Fair play for that comment.
Glenn Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Your club has always come in for easy stick as it has been regarded as a soft target by the media for many years. Long before Venky's. ..... and people wonder why I had a bee in my bonnet for years about people paid to address such issues.
insiderover79 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I have now picked myself off the floor from laughter, I am in no way nor have I ever been employed by Kentaro. Mulder and Scully need to try again.
Guest linganzi Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I have now picked myself off the floor from laughter, I am in no way nor have I ever been employed by Kentaro. Mulder and Scully need to try again. Ken barlow?
Beta Ray Bill Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Although insiderover79 comments of non-doom are reassuring, I can't help but recall the summer of 2008. The repeated message from Andy Hornby, CEO of HBOS, said on almost a daily basis: "we are a strong bank, with a sound capital base.' We will never really know if Hornby believed that and things just went spectacularly wrong, or if it was spin to hopefully buy time to try and rectify the mess. Either way HBOS collapsed. Hopefully Rovers won't.
yoda Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Please read the full post- I am saying he was only a bounty hunter and NOT hired to find a buyer and that if he had been he would have been totally compromised by divided loyalties. I get the impression that you could sit in an empty room and argue with yourself for hours on end
John Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 When will Jerome's judgement be taken into account? So far, Kean/Jensen/Blackman new contract/Anderson junior (the new Chris Smalling). Horrific so far however exciting times ahead I am sure. When I did some research I was told this man would ruin our club, doing quite a decent job at the moment.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Kean was a massive risk that hasn't paid off. Jensen I have no idea about, not being privy to the workings of the dressing room or training ground. Blackman's new contract - is he earning a fortune now? Or did we just tie him up to get a better price when we sell him? I have no idea. Anderson junior - he's not even at the club yet. How much is he earning? Is he going to play, or will he be in the stiffs/on the bench? It's interesting that the timing of his trial coincides with the press rumours that Givet was unsettled and looking to return to France this summer. Myles Anderson as a LB/CB would fit the bill as a cheap replacement.
imy9 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 John- based on what we've read over the last few days Anderson sold Rovers to Venkys when we have struggled to for YEARS, that's one good thing!
Majiball Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 He's not even good enough for Aberdeens 1st team doesn't exactly strike me as a late developer like smalling who at least broke in at a premier league club before moving to United. Even Nick Blackman is playing 1st team football with them which for me really puts his ability in question as he's managed 5 minutes in 3 months. I hope this isn't another Julio signing and if I'm being honest the timing of all this coming out is shocking and if was due to sign it should have been delayed till after the season has ended. All this is going to do is make more people think all is not rosy at Ewood.
chaddyrovers Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 even Tony Cottee on GSS on Sky Sports news has said that it is a joke that we have sign Myles Anderson.

Well done on all of your successes btw. I guess what I'm a little confused about is why no one kicking up a fuss? There is a very bad smell here and I would have thought that the press in general - not referring to you personally here - haven't made more of it. By the way I am not really a goat.

They did today on sky sports. Though they did mask it a bit. They made reference to Myles Anderson, Jerome Anderson Steve Kean and sem. They also all predicted Rovers to go down.
Uddersfelt Blue Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 They did today on sky sports. Though they did mask it a bit. They made reference to Myles Anderson, Jerome Anderson Steve Kean and sem. They also all predicted Rovers to go down. Personally I don't give tuppence for what the so called pundits say on Sky Sports!!! If we pull together as a Club, players, management, directors and fans then we give ourselves the best chance of survival. No point thinking what would have happened if things had been different because no one will ever know. For those who attend games, we must get behind the lads on the pitch, thats where they need us. For those who can't attend at least be there in spirit.
sentient Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 If we pull together as a Club, players, management, directors and fans then we give ourselves the best chance of survival. And in one sentence you have summarised why we look doomed. The players obviously have no faith in nthe management, the management are scared caught in the bright lights nodding nodding nodding nodding, and the directors ... wtf are they?
imy9 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Why do the players have no faith in the management? Last 2 performances have shown a togetherness and willingness to play for the management further emphasised by Plunketts tweet. Defeatist attitudes on this MB are common place, we are not relegated yet and will not be either.
