modes98 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Not unless he flies to India every week and stays late at training. It doesn't matter if he's any good just as long as he does those 2 things. On a serious note I'm made up for Tugs and would love to see him in the Ewood dugout one day.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Tugay...a reminder of better times for our club.
BangkokRover Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 The lack of ex players around the club is worrying. I am not say they should be offered jobs but certain players are a benefit to the club due to their skill and professionalism. Colin having a chat to Phil Jones about defending and working with him in training as an example.
BangkokRover Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Not with these owners. I know, I know, anyway let me be fire up FM and lead Rovers to glory.

thenodrog Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I know Gala fans love him but there's a 90% chance that Tugay will be out on his arse as a condition of a new man coming in. Lets be honest Hagi and Tugay was never gonna work in management was it?
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Hope not. Great player, but have my doubts he would make a decent manager.
Bobby G Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Loved him as a player and an icon. After Shearer, and maybe Duff (to an extent), he's been the next real hero the club have had. What a player he was for us. Still remember him being subbed off and playing it amazingly... There's only one Turkish Delight.
47er Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Hope not. Great player, but have my doubts he would make a decent manager. We can watch him at Gala and see can't we?
Cowan Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Tugay...a reminder of better times for our club. agreed, amazing player. imagine if he was 5 or so years younger at the time, he wouldve been playing for man united within a week but all the big clubs saw his age as a risk
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 In a vain attempt to lift moral of Rovers fans everywhere with the shyte that's going on at present down Ewood way........
pick32 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 This is probably the goal that summed him up most it has everything, composure, touch, ability to create space and of course the finish. We certainly have no one in our team who is capable of this anymore.
ABBEY Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 tugay, ozzy, elway ,hendry and vince neil ....my men crushes lol
LeChuck Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 imagine if he was 5 or so years younger at the time, he wouldve been playing for man united within a week but all the big clubs saw his age as a risk Never understood that line of thinking. Tugay wasn't always in his thirties. A mid-twenties Tugay did exist once and he wasn't playing for Man Utd or anyone of that calibre. Don't get me wrong, he was a wonderful player but there must be footballing reasons why he never went to a championship-challenging club in a top league.
Neil Weaver Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 This is probably the goal that summed him up most it has everything, composure, touch, ability to create space and of course the finish. We certainly have no one in our team who is capable of this anymore. I suspect a lot of us were there that night. I'm still convinced when he turned the Basle lad he was looking for a pass, but no one was in space and he just thought 'Oh bugger it, I'll have a shot'. Glad he did, mind.
Gav Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2931/go-global/2011/03/22/2406807/galatasaray-sack-gheorghe-hagi-with-former-blackburn? One for the future? Should never have been allowed to leave the club, scandalous.
47er Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Should never have been allowed to leave the club, scandalous. I blame the Trust!
Majiball Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Should never have been allowed to leave the club, scandalous. I blame Allardyce for that one, Tugay should have been a keeper.
