Balwer Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I also am very proud of how the boys played in the second part of that half. Play like that against lesser teams and we'll stay up no problem.

Balwer Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 This is giving me hope hopefully you are referring to the teams play itself and not my stirring words. I wouldn't want to be the one responsible if your hopes were dashed!
Commondore Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Emerton has done a lot of hard work supporting Salgado today, but across the halfway line he's been extremely frustrating.

Commondore Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 We're due a yellow card for time wasting any minute now...
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 Some great football but it breaks down everytime it goes to emerton
OsloRover Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Think I've never been so happy to see Jason come on, Santa Cruz has been absolutely dire. No movement whatsoever.
Dan Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Why take Roque off, please take Emerton off, he is @#/?.
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Think I've never been so happy to see Jason come on You might regret saying that if we get one chance to win the game and it falls to Roberts...
Balwer Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Why take Roque off, please take Emerton off, he is @#/?. We take Emerton off and are suddenly very shaky on the right. It may not be as noticeable but he's been terrific defensively today. Shame he's not done much going forward.
Balwer Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Spot on!! Yep, by far and away his best performance for us. Actually looking comfortable with the ball now and not diving in for reckless tackles.

Shame he's not done much going forward. On the other hand Arsenal wouldn't be able to exploit that side as much with Hoilett there. In a different way, Hoilett takes the pressure of that side as he's far more comfortable there and gets forward more taking pressure of defence.

Diouf? oh god.
booth Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That red card was harsh but what was zonzi thinking about!
Balwer Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That red card was harsh but what was zonzi thinking about! borderline. Two foot, studs showing, but minimal contact. Bit unlucky by the rules are pretty clear. Tough to hold on now.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2011 Backroom Posted April 2, 2011 Harsh for me but they get given these days. Such a shame as we looked like hanging on
