We won there in December 1997 to go top of the table, Kevin Gallagher cracked one in from 25 yards.

One of my favourite ever Rovers goals. I remember that Highbury woman screaming (she used to do it everytime they conceded) when he smacked it home.

Can't see anything other than a relatively heavy defeat here. I'd love the lads to prove me wrong and get a draw but I'll go with:

Arsenal 3 Rovers 0

Absolutely no confidence about tomorrow.

Concede in the first 15 and it could be anything.

Fancy either 5-1 (odds of 33/1) or even 7-0 (odds of 100/1).

At least I'd be able to afford a nice vintage or two in order to dull the pain.

I hate to say it but...i can only see a big win for Arsenal 5 maybe even 6... :(:( we just cant defend , we dont score enough goals and the midfield will be totally out-classed and out-manned , and SK saying "their players will be tired" just doesnt cut it for me, they're chasing a title , you don't get tired when chasing a title i'd love to be wrong be we are playing in 5 game season now

A slow Salgado, a slow Dunny , a slow Nelsen, a slow Roque Santa Cruz, a slow Pedersen, supported by a clueless management team just not what you want when you play a supremely fit Arsenal team.

Somebody please hand Paul Robinson some extra, extra, sized goalkeeping gloves to keep those gooners out tommorrow.

All in all its another critical must win game for Steve Bean and his team.

What's our thinking on Santa, persist with him in the side when he's fit/available?

I know we don't have too many quality options up front however could be worth going with someone more mobile......not sure.

I have not been drinking however think we may do OK tomorrow - key is not to concede too early on and have a team selection which is combative.

Yes I think someone more mobile. If we are playing with 2 up front then I would prefer Roberts and Nicko.

We can't afford to carry passangers at the moment and I don't think RSC has done enough to justify his place in the team.

I'd like to see us start with two up front but I can't see that happening, I think we need to pack the midfield out, is go with

Robinson

Salgado samba nelson givet?

Hoillett j Jones peds p Jones ollson

Santa Cruz or Roberts

When attacking let's both Jones's stay a little deeper n let peds Hoillett n ollson attack wiv pace

I think the result of this game depends on if we defend for our lives and not think we're beaten before we get onto the pitch.

They are 9/1 just to win!!

We are just 9/1 to win. That's the blue and white shirts and the fans.

Everything else will pass in time.

Every credit to those going tomorrow. Absolutely superb support. It's not a cheap day out.

Come on!!!

Another sad day on the road to ruin looks almost certain. The most depressing scoreline will be a 2-1 loss.

Just looking forward to the cricket season at the moment, can't raise any interest in profesional football.

Anyway, just seen a live performance of Starman by Bowie on BBC4 so i'll go to bed happy tonight at least.

anticipate a drubbing tomorrow optimism levels are currently low and therefore hope for at least a spirited performance and not the usual give them 80% posession and die performance, love rovers but love/interest in football outside of rovers is nil right now probably linked to our plight and the squad of horrifically paid dross we have killing the love of the professional game.

Not posted on here for ages... commendations to all Roverites heading to the Emirates this weekend. I remember being at a deadly dull 0 - 0 draw at Highbury 10 - 15 years ago, I'd settle for that again.

With all the recent and ongoing turmoil, these are grim times for us all but, as far as the Venkys, Kean et al are concerned, what doesn't kill us will make us stronger. Shining steel tempered in the fire...it's long been a rollercoaster ride supporting BRFC and maybe we are starting/finishing a plummet but, wherever we end up, we must never lose faith or hope in Blackburn Rovers.

Come teatime later today I'll be in some Blackburn ale house or other watching the Sky coverage and willing an improbable win for the Rovers - bring it on.
