...and you'll then regret it when he's out of the league within 3 seasons.

orton waived!

Complete insanity. He would have had decent trade value and is a useful back-up to have. If this season has taught us nothing else it is that it is invaluable to have a serviceable back-up quarterback.

I can see the sense in it. If Tebow continues in this way, its not a problem. If he bombs, higher draft pick and a QB will be taken. Either way there's no route back for Orton.

Also, Brady Quinn FTW.

...but you're looking at a league where Orton would have decent value in a trade.

Suh is an aggressive player, but Josh's video there doesn't show the part where the play is already over but the Packers player still feels the need to haul Suh to the ground and drive his helmet into the ground with his hand. The fact that Suh gave him the same treatment shouldn't be a surprise, for him to do it three times was overkill and then stamping on him was completely unacceptable, but still, he gets no protection and plenty of scrutiny from officials.

Some of the blocks that linemen get away with to stop him getting to the QB, the hands in the face, the holding, etc. all seem to get ignored, yet he pushes a QB to the ground and not only does he get penalised but the NFL fines him and everyone in the world calls him dirty. Absolute joke.

While we're on officials, some very harsh calls on the Lions today. One in particular was called for pass interference when the Packers receiver actually just tripped over his own feet without Eric Wright touching him. And does anyone want to explain why Clay Matthews levelling Matthew Stafford is fine because he was within two steps, but Kyle Vanden Bosch doing the same (within one step, in fact) to Aaron Rodgers is roughing the passer?

Seriously, Rodgers is the new Tom Brady, nice QB but needs the officials to look after him. The NFL just wants to see him play catch with Drew Brees every weekend, get those nasty defensive lines out of the game.

Anyway, not to make excuses, because we should have put the game away in the first-half but just couldn't put points on the board when we were controlling the game. Matthew Stafford is showing exactly why I wasn't raving about him too much when he was hot. He's trying to force passes that just aren't on and he's thrown way too many picks in the last 3 games.

Now for Tebow to chalk up another win on Sunday. Suppose playing in the AFC West right now at least gives him a decent shot of keeping a winning record for a few years.

5-1 Timmy. He was excellent tonight when it really mattered, much better through the air and read the option well in another huge Denver rushing performance. Von Miller was the real star though. What a beast.
